Not sure why you're including Weightman in that list. 82 mins time on. Most sprints on the ground. He's running fine
The second game back is usually much harder than the first. Remember he’s been prepped for this first game for months.

Backing it up 6 days later is another challenge in itself.

Well that wasn't fun. Must be a few happy posters in here. I'm not sadistic enough to read through all the posts but that comeback win brings you guys back into the premiership picture. Good luck for the rest of the season. Fingers crossed we meet again in finals.
Or even masochistic 🤔

That was one hell of a win. Way too much heart and desire in the second half for the hawks.

Bont’s kick to Treloar from defence in Q4 was the moment I got my tail up. Broke the whole game open.

Ed is back. Three straight weeks of top line form again. Those two were fighting bravely earlier in the year but not right. They’re back now though. Ed just rollicks along. He’s hard to tackle, breaks away on his left and causes havoc for the opposition.

I still can’t believe this is the Hynes we get. I thought he was the opposite type player to this. He’s a beast of a runner and is starting to believe he can contribute at afl level gut running out on that wing.

Sanders was a complete bull late in the game. He got no smaller late in the game and a few hawks players did. Yet another bloke who is hard to tackle so makes good things happen.

Freij is finding some form finally.

First look of three good small forwards and the hawks didn’t like the problems it raised them. The forward line is building chemistry.

Naughton’s ability to keep the footy moving to our advantage is a testament to his development. He used to be a bit of a donkey sometimes but now I trust him to make things happen with plays on the footy on the flanks.

That felt like our best defensive game of the year. Spoiled effectively, found eachother and linked up at ground level. Great stuff.

Bevo is NOT a perfect coach. We have our flaws as a club and some of that should probably fall on him.

But this year we were looking down the barrel of a wasted season and he got rises out of our team spiritually that were not expected.

His other great strength is he keeps playing young guys, so we always have a new very talented player or three emerging. Sanders is breaking out right now. Hynes and Croft are starting to impact. They’re repaying the faith and the balance is coming good.

Just got home now from the G. What a great win that was! Just so good to beat the Hawks as our recent record against has not been great. There was not a huge amount of Bulldogs fans where I was but when you win it is so good.

We really dug deep in that 2nd half to get ourselves the win. Hawks missed a lot but as the old saying go bad kicking is bad football.

The 1st half I thought we were really bad. Our mids were getting smashed and they were just taking too many uncontested marks. Very happy we rectified this at half time.

Sellwood a really good pick up. Having a great season. Thought Croft had a lot of good moments. Richards and English important in getting us going. JOD very good. Freijah had his moments as well and set up some goals. Buku and Coffield were working very hard and had some good plays that helped. Very happy the Cody made it through.

We are the kings of the close finish in 2026!!

Go Bulldogs!!

Just knowing what a legend his dad matty was for the doggies, you just know Jordan going to give it his all.
He's still only 21.
That 2023 draft is really coming along fantastic. Colonel and Jordan really maturing.
Fridge needs to go back to the basics and not over think every possession.
Actually thought Fridge showed some solid composure when we were struggling to square up the ball in the forward line rather than blaze away

Definitely shouldn't have won that one, but who cares, and to do it against Hawthorn makes it all the more sweet. Third week in a row now we've needed a hero to step up in the final seconds. How good were Coffield and Sellwood in that last quarter!

The most impressive aspect by far was the fight back. Given our recent history, it was looking like it was going to be a 10+ goal loss. I can’t recall the last time we looked so weak in the first half and then be able to turn it around. The script normally goes we're competitive to a point, and then the opposition goes nuts for 10 minutes, and the game's over. To see us finally do something when the chips are down was heartening.

Gotta give a fair bit of credit to Croft, Freijah, Hynes and Sanders as well, had pretty poor first halves (especially Freijah and Hynes), but it was awesome to see them put their foot down and really dig in. Absolutely loving Croft's attack on the play, I still cannot believe we were playing Emmett ahead of him at certain points this year.

Still plenty to work on, we can't be allowing teams to get 60+ inside 50s, or have 11 more shots at goal, or be SO PREDICTABLE when kicking in, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction for us in that we absolutely can adjust mid-game.

JOD is improving at a fast rate.

Love him!
Getting thrown to the wolves at times last year might’ve been the making of JOD. He’s certainly stronger this season and has learnt some tough lessons.

It’s such a tough position to develop in/learn at senior level, i.e. you’re either ready or you’re not and it stands out when you stuff up.

JOD is getting that bit better every game. Ideally he’d be a number two for another few years next to a Weitering, Andrews etc, but he’s progressing as well any key back would under the circumstances.

Will be interesting if we pull anyone from the VFL tomorrow.

Bevo in his pressure mentioned if Cody had played VFL he wouldn’t be able to play Adelaide as it would be a 5 day break.

Given we need to replace McNiel at a minimum will be interesting if we pull anyone out

Good point. Might see a Baker, Davidson, Jaques only play a half to get a run in, but still be fresh on a 5 day break. Kennedy was an emergency tonight so maybe he gets a debut and from reports tonight Libba might be a chance too.

Thought it was interesting Bevo got a bit fired up in the press conference talking about McNeil. Said it pisses him off the treatment he gets from our supporters and he's integral as a versatile glue guy on field.

Arty got himself into some great positions, streaming forward and then inexplicably turned it over. At least 3 times I can recall somewhat reluctantly. Is it a composure thing or needs an extra step or two to balance up? Or is he trying too hard to be creative. I'm not sure which but if he can tidy that up could become extremely damaging

Makes you cringe about the bullshit we give to our players

Not just saying this because of his terrific final act, but I will happily eat humble pie about Coffield. Really didn’t see what he offered. This year he’s been building and he’s really now repaying the faith the coaches have in him. Great to see and long may it continue.

Win win.....Doggies get the win....and the new Dream Team recruit in Newcombe scores us 100+ points.....sitting amongst the Hawks fans in the forward pocket tonight was epic fun....full of chat at half time.....whining about the umps at the final siren.....1.11 after half time.....they certainly didn't like hearing that stat for sure....lol
