battingWhile you were batting or while you were fielding?
Got a question for those who are still playing, but I'm afraid I may already know the answer. When I started my career, I chose to be a keeper. I was just made captain of Essex, so can I permanently pass the gloves over to someone else and bowl a few overs whenever I desire? I'm not seeing the option anywhere so I'm assuming it's a no go?

Chasing in T20s is near on impossible. Bat first = win the match
Is this in career mode? I don't play this mode much because playing with the same players every game does my head in
That's kind of what killed my interest in career mode as well. Once i cracked internationals everything was stagnant. Same batting partners every match. Can't change your own character to keep it fresh. Things like the Big Bash especially suffer when the teams are so different to when I downloaded them. Needs an off-season editing mode where you can update uniforms and teams.
I would love it if the teams changed every game or so. Say that an AI player is playing badly for a few games he gets dropped for someone else in the squad and goes back to state cricket for a while. Would also be good to see career milestones come up mid match and rewards for passing say most test runs/wickets ever.
I love my stats so ongoing top tens for wickets and runs would be cool but like others have said its the same same nature of the teams that is the only feature that stops me playing after a while.
Doesn't need to be too in depth but they could take some inspiration from Cricket Captain and have health and form meters. If the player isn't captaining the CPU captain could use that to rotate teams around a bit. Or if a player bowls 200 overs in a test match their health might drop right down and force them to be rested.
I'm a big stats fan and would love to see the milestones too. It's something that's lacking in a lot of newer sports games. I remember upgrading from NHL 2003 to NHL 2008 or something and being super disappointed that the career goals stat didn't come up any more when you cracked 100/200 goals etc. Would be very satisfying to hear them say "And that brings up his 5000 career runs," and maybe put up the stats bar along the bottom with matches, runs, average, HS, etc. Even things like "And that's his new highest score in this format," would be cool. Just little things like that that actually make it feel like you're progressing.
Hear it all the time in career. Yet it didn't actually happen when it would have been true. The game does mention these milestones, but its always stuffed up. Dont know how many times Ive heard the commentator mention players like Chris Rogers' maiden hundred on debut
What difficulty you playing it on?Out for 97, before my maiden test 100

Pro. Probably could go higher but my reliable idiotic run outs when I'm at the non-strikers end cancels that out. What difficulty you playing it on?
Yep and then you get out for a golden duck and to do it all over againplaying as a batting allrounder and it had been fine until I made the International team and seems that bowling has gotten incredibly harder, although more realistic it really takes a long time when we're fielding, got forced to bowl 30 overs in one county innings.
wondering what it takes to be captain as I am sick of being thrown the ball.
Is there a better list update than the one they default give you
I want this year's 2020 teams dammit
I had the same thing but it was at the start of a match. The only thing I could do was simulate that match and go on to the next and then it worked. This doesn't sound like an option for you however. In my career at the moment, Im in the middle of a test match. Whenever i try and open the match, the screen goes black and freezes. I can go back to the playstation menu but can't do anything within the actual game. Any ideas on how to fix this?
That's fixed on PC I'm pretty sureI had the same thing but it was at the start of a match. The only thing I could do was simulate that match and go on to the next and then it worked. This doesn't sound like an option for you however.
I desperately want this game to be good, but there are a couple of huge flaws in it that are so frustrating that it becomes so hard to play. The biggest one (and I'm sorry to the guy who posts on this forum, because he seems like a great person) is the One Day and T20 chasing totals thing. The game becomes unplayable when your team is chasing 140 to win in a T20, a pretty easy target these days, but I come in to bat with 2 overs to go needing to score 50 runs in 1.3 overs when I'm batting number 3.
How this game has been out for so long and this issue has not been fixed is beyond me. And it's frustrating because cricket (especially batting) is a perfect game for a career mode and this game plays a lot better than the majority of cricket games I've played in the past.
It's available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 with a patch (fixing it and many things + adding features) to come on PS4 and Xbox One.So it's something that can be fixed but hasn't been done so on the consoles?
