My question is why bother coming out in the last game earbashing the players how about maybe 10 weeks ago it may have actually helped.Has Don Scott got a clue ,sure blast em but don't leave it till its too late, whats the point in that? I welcome the comments but sadly its all too late.Geez thats 2002 for you. Some people just don't have any timing.Don is a legend no doubt but the comments have just come far too late lets hope the comments ring in the ears of the players that will be wearing the brown and gold in 2003 over summer.

Rex hung up on him today after only about 2 mins on the radio. Don't blame him either.

Further to the above comment, David Parkin was on 3AW (Melb) today, and entered a heated discussion with Mike Sheehan and Gerard Healy, about why Hawthorn players such as Hay and Dixon played this season injured.... and about 4 minutes into interview Rex Hunt intervened and cut straight to a commercial break.

Scott and Parkin failed to answer the hard questions to the media; instead, opting the answer the questions aggressively and attacking the way media has blamed Hawthorn's poor year on disappointing form but not mentioning the injuries they had suffered. I don't think these interviews have reflected well on the club. But in saying that, the Hawthorn supporters know better, and the Hawks will be back - bigger and better next year.
