First original (non remaster) Donkey Kong game made in over a decade and quite frankly I am optimistic it may very well be the best DK game yet.

They have redesigned the big guy and I like it !

Seems like there is so much to do in this game and so many collectables and hidden secrets for the nerds who are obsessed with finishing a game 100 % to discover.

This is the main reason why I will be purchasing a Switch 2.

People are suggesting this could be Donkey Kong's version of Super Mario Odyssey

Also Gaming Board mods can you please add a Switch 2 prefix ? Thanks

Looks very good and seems Nintendo were definitely keeping a lot under wraps about it.

Whether I actually want to sink $100 on it, I'm still deciding. A game like BOTW/TOTK that I easily get over 100 hours out of, I'll throw my money at easily, but I just wonder about my personal longevity on this one.

If you want to get all of the collectables and hidden secrets/stages in it, you definitely will get good mileage out of it.

I'd like to think so. I don't have a great track record with 3D platformers typically. DKC and DKC2 on the SNES are to my mind some of the best platformers of all time, if it went anywhere close to those (but in 3D) I'd certainly be a happy camper.

Such a blast playing this amazing game

Bashing shit is strangely relaxing and cathartic.

Game is gorgeous and has a great tone and feel to it. Skill leveling aspect is a great addition too.

Much better than I thought it would be.

89 at target seems to be the best price. I'm okay dropping that for something the quality of Odyssey.

I bit the bullet at this price and don’t regret it.

I thought smashing things would get old but it keeps feeling rewarding and fresh as you go on through the levels.

The ending sections of this game is maybe the best Nintendo has ever pulled off, the game started slow for me but just got better and better as it went and ended on the highest of high notes

Damn you guys are making me want to bite the bullet and grab it..
Were you a fan of Super Mario Odyssey? If so, definitely worth your time.

Smashed a few more hours tonight, just a wonderfully fun game.

I actually never played Odyssey

I finally got around to playing it for the first time tonight, and its the first game i have played in years thats has me grinning from ear to ear after an hours game play.

Its definitely more worthwhile playing it on a TV (if you have one that supports 4K) than the handheld/laptop mode imo

Yes its a tad pricey but very worthwhile, especially if you are after an entertaining and at times hilarious spot of pure escapist gaming in today's somewhat trouble times.

The animation, music, hilarious interactions with the monkeys, the storyline. This game is pretty much the complete package.

I think it's well worth the hefty asking price.

You won't be dissatisfied or disappointed one bit

Just for those playing at home, you're really not getting much of a resolution boost playing docked vs handheld, certainly no where near 4k. The VRR of the handheld arguably makes it look better IMO.

it's definitely a hefty asking price when you don't have a Switch 2!

This is far better than Odyssey IMO (which was still great) looking forward to finishing the game first and then going back to clean everything up to complete which I usually never bother with.

Almost near the end and no sign of fatigue which I was a little concerned about a couple of hours in initially.
