Don't expect too many list changes

Part of the justification of the sacking of Grant Thomas was that he failed to deliver the premiership despite having the best list.

So if our list is considered the best, why would they make any major changes to it?

I have always felt that this sort of sweeping statement of Saints have the best list was a simple assumption based on how well the club performed despite having "the worst coach".

There is no doubt that we have some absolute ripper players, but firstly they are only great players when they are on the park - an all too familiar problem with Saints players. Secondly we don't have enough depth especially in our midfield to be considered the "best list".

...bet you the first thing the new coach goes for is an experienced classy ruckman....(not brain surgury though...)

and watch for average players to be handed their marching orders....

murray and mcgough are certain to go....

one or two ruckman will go...

and one outside player will be shown the door (blake, shwarze, gwilt, maybe even fiora)

and with powell and peckett gone....that should make a minimum of six delistings

....even with the supposed best list a new coach is always willing to make his own mark on the new club.
