They're only there because none of his midfield bench are playing. Plenty of flexibility to move them back whenever he wants with Lids, Goddard and Gibbs in his backline.

With the lack of Premium forwards, I would want all three of Lids, Goddard and Gibbs in my backline, not my mids.

There is nothing wrong with his team IMO, yes he's burned trades unnecessarily (which may/may not kill him late in the season), but fundamentally it is not a bad team!

5 premium mids
2 premium rucks
4 premium forwards

and plenty of DPP linkages

Ryder in the ruck is a concern - but who would have thought Bellchambers would come from nowhere this season.

You would prefer lids in your midfield than another premium mid? Mids in general will score alot higher than backs so its best to only have the one mid/back link in the mids.

I'm assuming he is gonna bring in Jacobs to his backs next week giving him flexibility to move Hibberd and Heppell back. I have it the other way round with the 2 H's in my backline and Jacobs in my mid. Not having Heppell as one of your backs right now is a pretty bad move imo

If you want DPP flexibility you have to play some DPP midfielders in defence and some in the mids, just a fact of life.

Sure i'd love all premium midfielders, but with the byes DPPs definitely save your arse from time to time. Sure 1 link helps, but without 2 he'd have copped a zero this week. Might be tough to convince him of your 1 link theory.

Either that or cop the odd O.

His team is actually quite good, with nice flexibility. It's just that by the end of the season he's going to be seriously struggling with trades.

The good doctor mustered up 2129 this week. Ive finally overtaken him in the rankings and wont look back.

He really has destroyed his team. I dont see one upgrade from his initial team

I think Monty's suggestion on an early Coaches Box Podcast that the good Doctor would start tanking as he is in so many leagues is coming to pass! He won't admit it but its all I can explain!

I find it hard to see how he has 15 trades left when he has done pretty much two sideways trades a week..
