Definitely nothing wrong with that, I just wonder if we'd be more desperate for a pure midfielder.
Looking at it currently;

'Mids' mids: Armitage, Steven, Ross, Newnes, Dunstan, Acres, Templeton, Gresham, Freeman

Fwd/mids: Billings, Sinclair, Weller, Lonie

Def/mids: Montagna, Roberton, Savage, McKenzie, White

I think we just want as much talent through the doors as possible... And remember, GAJ started as a small forward.

Leaving behind the hysteria on this board right now, here's another for the 'maybe mids' file...

183cm midfield running machine with elite disposal. Yo.

His skin folds would be on point! A year in the gym the kid could be a beast.

Besides the weekend just past how's he gone?

Only played one other game due to injury, but he had 11 touches - all kicks - at 73%, 4 marks, 4 tackles and kicked a goal.

Played as a defender last year as an underager too, so his defensive ethic is excellent.

Have we given any thought to Brandon Parfitt from the Territory? Gresham size, but apparently full of talent.
Parfitt has been likened to Jack Steven and Allen Christensen he has been reported to have elite skills by hand and foot, but also has been observed recently to be hit-and-miss at times. Tough and classy nevertheless with a nice sidestep.

Height (177cms) will probably see him drop below the taller mids but his experience in the SANFL is a real plus.

Certainly one to watch but others may appeal more at our pick.

It's been a while since we had a Nicky Winmar. Watching old Plugger videos it was a great time when we had a heap of good indigenous guys tearing it up. There is a lot of them that seem to do the mercurial stuff. Parfitt has had huge wraps for sometime too. I'm with Baz.

Yes. I love to see them in the red white and black showing their unique skills. Robert Muir was very skillful, and who can forget Nicky and Gilbert running together.
We have never had enough of them, especially in recent years.

I've heard some good stuff/seen good stuff on Galluci, Brodie, Ainsworth and in the last month McLuggage. If we can get Will Brodie at our first pick! Baby we got a stew going!

He sounds like a bag boy if you ask me. But he plays football quite well apparently.
Well I've heard he does travel well and is quite good overhead, but I would stay away from him because he comes with a lot of baggage and he's got a lot of tickets on himself. I suppose he'd be boarding with Plugger66 to start off with, which would be hard on his family.

His mum's a bit of an old bag too.

Has he got tickets on himself?

Can we afford to carry him on our list? How long until we start to bag him if he's a bust?

Pretty sure his mentor is Ronald McDonald... apparently took him along every time he traveled.

Not boarding with me. I have a 20 year old daughter so no boarding but if he did is family would love it.

I thought the footballers would be too tired from training to get up to any mischief Plugger.

It never seemed that way in the past and I don't mean with my daughter. If only I could play the game when I was 18. Looks don't seem that important which would have suited me back then.
