With the draft looking pretty light this year, would it be preferable to trade our picks for an older player in the 24-26 age bracket? guerra's been a disapointment so reckon another enforcer would be a nice addition to the team. Also we seem to have enough young midfielders coming through, but with the envisioned retirements of Harvey, Thommo, Peckett and perhaps a few others, might need to get an older head in there. Thoughts?

We still have depth in our midfield with the likes of McGough, McQualter, Montagna, and Gram coming through. We would probably chase a seasoned defender 22-24 yo with some height and strength.

We'll take our first pick in the draft - some kid that Beveridge has picked out and maybe go for a few more "depth" players.

The salary cap is not going to be easy to get under if we trade for some good player/s so we have to develop our own.

JB has been consistent in picking up players who can offer the club at least 10 years of service, and I don't see him changing that policy now.

What kind of a player is Ferguson? Why didn't he get much of a go this season? Injury?

Would St Kilda be interested in trading him?

He's only 20 so has time on his side.

saints need to get a reasonable full back, pennies not up to it.

go after hay or polak

trade away your pick its not worth anything to u cos ure looking to win a flag in 2006, and it wont be ready by then

fergurson is a young defender who is still develping and has shown glimpes of what he's capable of. will be a good player in a few years time.
