After the tremendous success of the recruitment of Mick Martyn (in Denis eyes) Carlton have decided to recruit former Adelaide player Wayne Weidemann.
Weidemann in his 40s has been unavailable for comment today but his manager released a statement exclusively to The Bladder. 'Wayne feels he has alot to offer the Carlton football club, much like Mick Martyn did this year. Wayne can't jump kick, handball, run, tackle or even see anymore but I think he has alot to offer the Carlton football club. I mean just have a look at the impact Mick Martyn had this year.'
Carlton has also been actively chasing WWE superstar Zac Gowan according to reports in the US. Zac only has 1 leg but Carlton supporters can see him taking over Corey McKernan's role next year.
A spokesperson for the Carlton supporters group had this to say on the matter, 'Gee if we could recruit him from what i've seen of him he could hold down CHF and really intimidate opposition players. He has that Aura thay Wayne Carey had and would be a strong physical presence. I mean he lasted 10 minutes with Brock Lesnar the other night, how many AFL players could do that?'
When told Wrestling was fake and Gowan weighed 150 pounds the Carlton supporter was still adamant that he would be a star in the Carlton team.
Also Carlton is believed to have offered Optus Oval and the Top 10 in its B&F count to Port Adelaide for Che Cockatoo Collins. Port coach Mark Williams has rejected the offer saying 'I've just stopped laughing actually, Carlton's Top 10 Players wouldn't make our under 7's team let alone our best 22.'
Trade week commences on Monday week.
