Should draws be decided in extra time or a rematch?

Does it matter what we think? It's a rematch and I reckon Andy D will see how dumb it is and make the change next year. No point complaining about it now.

For mine, the system is near perfect as is.

Regular season = draw stands

All finals except grand final = extra-time

Grand final = Replay next week with extra-time only if drawn again

One change I'd suggest, as seen above, is that the replay should have a clause forcing extra-time if a second draw occurs.

I think we will win next week, and although I understand Nick Maxwell's opinion, I don't think Swan, Didak and Pendlebury were all of a sudden going to turn it on if there was extra time today, so I don't know.

I think we will win next week, and although I understand Nick Maxwell's opinion, I don't think Swan, Didak and Pendlebury were all of a sudden going to turn it on if there was extra time today, so I don't know.

St Kilda certainly run games out much better than us and I certainly wouldn't have backed us to win over time. After half time the Saints had all the energy and played a tight, man on man, stoppage orientated game. Same would have happened in in overtime.

I also feel St Kilda came out of that with a far better mental state. They seem more ready for next week whereas we seem pretty caught up and frustrated.

Good experience for the young boys getting a grand final then getting a second, but I'm not hugely confident and to win again we will have to start off on our terms and blow it out to a larger lead at half time because as St Kilda demonstrated and I had feared they are supurb and the far better finishers.

Ignoring the fact Collingwood would've been neaten if there was extra time, I still think a replay is best... just extends the footy season 1 more week which I'm ecstatic about

Whilst i wont be-grudge the AFL the opportunity to make some coin, I'd love to see them allocate at least 30,000 tickets to each club, get some atmosphere and lift the players.
