Firstly im not saying this is a rumour or going to happen but I think we should try and get Drummond down to punt road. His one of the best kicks in the comp and then we would be able to bring Deledio into the middle. Im not sure what Brisbane would want for him but if there a chance of him going into the PSD and we con WCE into not drafting him and pick him up then. The only problem is he will be 28 at the start of next season and if that a bit to old for us, His also fairly injury prone.

Another one is Andrew Mackie im not sure what’s the go there but the Herald Sun were saying Essendon were interested in Mackie after been dropped for Geelong's two biggest games of the season his not going to be overly happy. Geelong have many star players so there salary cap would be very tight and im sure we could give him much more than what his getting at Geelong. The only problem is im fairy sure his contracted and what would we need to trade to get him (Geelong may be willing to trade him to free up more cash to keep Gary?) Like Drummond, Mackie would free Deledio up into the midfield and at 26 I don’t think his to old.

Thoughts?

Apparently its Sherman we are trading for - been rumored our 2nd round pick - not too happy about that, his form this season was terrible

FYI - i would prefer mackie. Rather get players in that have been part of stellar organisations and the way he played his football for his teammates , he is the exact type of player we want to help groom this young squad

I think our backline is going alright atm. We got plenty of talls and a number or mediums pushing for a spot so we can afford to target other areas.

Mackie , both good players but Drummond to injury prone . Let him soak up more of the Lions salary cap for no return. Mackie I'd have in a heart beat.

It always depends what you have to give up to get these guys but Mackie for sure, a great player and you can't buy experience... especially premiership experience. That being said I can't see him going anywhere.. Scarlett and Milburn are on their last legs so going to be a place for years to come in that side for Mackie.

Drummond well for sure hes a nice addition to the side, depending on what you give up. The 2nd round pick for him you could live with... Sherman no way for our 2nd rounder, with a young list we can't afford another hot or cold type player like Sherman.. the only way hes a good addition is if hes delisted and hes picked up in the draft.
