What are peoples thoughts on Montagna? I have 100k in the bank so he could be upgraded to anybody, but do people think he would average any less than say a scott thompson? My take is Montagna could average back up around the 105-110 mark and the players around the thompson price range would average around 110, pushing to 112.

So do I spend the money for those extra few points, or upgrade a couple of other areas of the team? Thoughts?

I'm wary of Montagna, given the Saints' premiership clock is at about 3. They have a fair few old players, and I'm not convinced they'll make the finals. Lots of unknown given the new coach - heck, I'm not even convinced by Goddard or McEvoy. Maybe I'm overly skeptical.

But if you have the guts, go for it.
 
I had him early on but he didn't impress me in the nab. And I know not all premiums impress in the nab (God, Swan.etc.), but I was really looking for something at least to jump out at me which would have had him settled in my side. I saw him in the flesh against Eagles and he didn't look very lively. Maybe it's just me but I would rather pay the extra for the safety that comes with those upper tier players

Trying to make the decision on my 4th mid at the moment. Currently have Pendlebury, Ablett & Boyd. Am looking at Stanton and Watson at the moment. Anyone considered Watson? Looks very tempting at that price.

At the moment i have Swan, Boyd and Ablett as my main 3 midfielders at the moment. I have Watson as my 4th mid and i think he will have a good year for sure. Stanton is very inconsistent because he doesn't get his own ball like Watson does and he can also run down forward and kick a goal or two.

What do you guys think of Sidebottom? Is he going to get many minutes in the midfield?

Yep - guaranteed to get good minutes this year.

I think you may want to check out his last year stats before you make that statement ;):thumbsu:.

Yeah he did have a fantastic 2nd half to the year i guess after the criticism from our own fans but yeah his 1st half wasn't too flashy hence why i assume his inconsistency.
