What's DT?

Yes, Im praying that Pendelbury will become a star, but remember he is only 19 years old. From what we have seen, he is an sensational kick, got terrific agility and knows how to find space. If he had one negative, i think it would be his defensive pressure.

He will have some great games but will go be quiet every now and then. Im praying he becomes a star sooner rather than later.

Carn the Pies!

DT = dale thomas?
not sure
anyway
can't expect too much from pendles hes only young. Hopefully he has a good consistent season thats injury free.

DT = Dream Team

He is in mine. Bargain price. Could win the NAB Rising star award

yeah he is in mine as well i think he will have a good year....not a huge break the barrier year but it will be an improvement on last year by alot though happy to be proven wrong

I would expect between 15-18 possessions a game as the likely average.

However, there's the possibility that he breaks out and averages over 20 possessions per game - I don't think any of us would be too amazed if he did that, as he is certainly a magnet.

he is def one to look at

one of those blokes who seems to accumulate touches without people really noticing

but at 240,000 it is a bit of a punt, if he was below 200,000 a certainty but may be a tad over priced IMO

I think he is overpriced. I am not saying he is not worth it but when you consider he has played only 9 games I was expecting him to be around 150k Someone like higgins from the bulldogs who is at a similar stage in terms of development and from all reports has had a great season is better value.

Having said all that based on him pre season pendles looks set for a good season.

For centres, I haven't targeted players at 200-300k...and their are some good ones. A strength is the backline, and your big scorers (not consistent) are your forwards. I worked on them. With the rest, I have a solid midfield with players at a medium price, but not willing to punt on Higgins when Foley can be gained...and then Griffen or Lappin...i took Griffen.

Players at the 200k-300k are expected to increase in price, yes, but they are also still a little risky unless you know for sure. Trading for those players in the early rounds seems like the best idea. ie. if Foley doesn't impress, and Higgins is going strong, then a trade, and a release of 100k.

Lappin may miss the first couple, but when he has played his 2-3 games, trade for him I guess.

How's Bryce Gibbs? Worth a punt on him, i'd say.

One youngster expected to play 22 games. As for Rodan...he is more likely to be dropped if he doesn't perform than Gibbs. Carlton will persist with Gibbs...Rodan has had a good pre-season, but persistance won't exactly be required. He is good value when rating on recent form.

If you want Rodan as a EMG, then that's fair enough...but people like Geelong kids (Selwood, Varcoe, Djerkurra) are better options as they free up the cash. I am however relating to SC, not up there in DT terms...but I know SC off by heart, lmao.

$40k diff can go a long way in picking the right senior player!

Pendlebury isnt as big a bargain as i thought he wouldve been .. too expensive for a second year player .. its like dream team know what we all know PENDLES IS GOIN TO BE A SUPERSTAR lol

Thomas can get some big points and should get more game time this year, although with him the quantity will not indicate the quality.

Pendlebury is very fit and if given plenty of game time, he can accumulate plenty, given his height, strong marking, goal kicking ability, a preferrence to want to kick (even if at times to the easier option) and is a ball magnet.

If I were doing it (can't be arsed) I wouldn't take either, due to expense and the likelyhood Malthouse will still rotate them off the bench heavily. If I were to punt on one, I'd take Pendles.

agree with this,definatly over-priced going off last seasons stats.

Well he certainly got off to a flyer with 85 points.

Watching the game, I noticed he was benched a lot. :(

Could average 90+ with little more game time.

Great comeback BTW. I noticed all the winging from the North supporters. They seemed to overlook the Leon Davis head high tackle that would have resulted into a goal. Instead, it rebounded & North got a goal. :rolleyes:
