Finally saw this today. Just catching it at the cinemas before its run ends.

I think I liked part 1 more as just in general I like the political stuff more than the desert stuff.

Overall though, it was epic. DV did a great job interpreting the book onto screen. Probably one of the few adaptations I've really enjoyed, that I didn't think was a let down in some way.

Villenueve is just amazing though. Number 1 director for me now. (oooo actually on second thought maybe Linklater is still number 1)

Enjoyed the first movie and the now the 2nd one even more so.

It's a huge credit to Denis Villeneuve, the cast and entire crew for making something worth watching. These days most forms of entertainment are contaminated with political correctness, quotas etc to appease others. And it's those aspects in todays entertainment that tend to be the priority instead of just making something that most people will enjoy viewing.

Feyd Rautha might be the best sci-fi henchmen/villain since Ray Park's Darth Maul.

Agreed, even though I am biased towards Dune but its not rocking the casual viewers world though. The usual Youtube review channels don't think much of it but The show definitely caters more towards the Dune fans. I will stay invested as long as the narrative remains grounded to the source material.

I watched the first ep. The production values are good like Foundation. But the story is a bit boring. A lot of exposition by dialog. Mark Strong is phoning it in. The Travis Fimmel character could be interesting.
