I disagree.

Whilst his ethics and values will come under question, there is little doubt that most, if not all, stations would chase his services.

Why else does Hutchy continue to get jobs?

It is not as if he didn't run it by the "powers that be" at Channel 7 before it went to air.

This was nothing about Michael Braun, but about another drug controversy involving medical documents stolen from a medical clinic. They associated players from a Victorian club with recreational drugs.

Sorry, but what and where is`Western Heights College?
I still think Ch 7 will leave him holding the baby now - the Braun fiasco actually brought his name before the public but Ch 7 will leave him with Vlad's "obscene" tag over the stolen medical records.

Whilst I am not necessarily condoning what Howard did, don't you think it is unreasonable to focus on him as being the person to have ruined their lives when in fact it is the two players in questions who have put their livelihoods and reputation at risk?

Much of it comes back to whether calling it an illness or a weakness. It is most obviously a weakness.

Thats not surprising, most sports reporters cant get names of players right again & again in reporting different sports.

You would think that if you were a sports reporter you would show some general interest in all sports to get your knowledge up.

That said, muck rakers like Hutchy & Howard are nothing but that, just dig up dirt on footy players.

That's not necassarily the case, that is just an assumption by you. Hutchinson may have followed the story, but the news teams of both channels are completely different, and it may not have been allowed to go to air on Channel 9. You can't claim that it would have happened at any channel, that is simply a proposition by yourself.

Also there is a thing called an EDITOR !!!

If Channel 7 thought it was in poor taste or pushing the boundary too far, his editor and the Chief Editor should have stepped in.

Obviously they are so far into their own hype of being the number 1 TV station, they have no moralistic values at all.
