There was mention of Harrison Lee. Is he the General's son? What sort of player is he? Any other father-son opps this year?

All the ***** that mentioned Moore can get ****ed too. He has never been through one frikken season with out crap. Yeh he may be on his last chance, but perhaps support each player while they are at the ****ing club.

Ok Einstein... apart from any bloke that has been drafted in the last 2 years, name 5 blokes who are actually in front of Moore in demanding a spot on the list. and give reasons.

Moore is not worth a pinch of shit. Yes, he's had injuries, but so did Marc Dragacevic. We cut him and he showed more potential than that ginga! Gaaaawwwwwwnnnnn!!! :thumbsd:

Yeah I dont get it. Draga was a champ, several bad knee injuries, but even then club loyalty to him only went so far. Why is Moore still around? To be honest I would much rather have used our really late pick in the draft to get one of the guys missed or pfeiffer or someone.

I don't know if you meant to ask that question, but hey;

Richo- He's a must have in the F50, very competitive and always takes the best opposition's defender.

Foley- Carving it up in the midfield. Bout the only Tiger midfielder taking the game by its balls.

Simmonds- Key ruckman, and fantastic around the ground. Must be ahead of Moore.

JB- Holds up our defence, creates run out of the backiline while also taking the best opp forward.

and ill throw in Newman. Courageous and a very smart footballer. a must have.

Moore is probably around for depth more so than anything. Kelleway, gaspar, Hall, Chaffey are all senior players who have left over the last few years.

Mcguane, Thursfield are just about reaching the 22 while we have selected Rance.

Moore is a player the club has around for depth, with the 'p' word of potential to make it. But if he doesn't make it, the club has no losses. He is the lowest paid player besides the draftees and understandably so. Realality theres no harm having such a bloke on the list.

It'd just be nice if supporters do their duties- that is, to support the team and it's players right through the entire season.

Really late pick is excactly what Moore was. We have put development into him and you want to throw it away because he hasnt performed for you in the time frame you asked for?

Hang on, petts gets 5-6 years..... oh but he was an early selection.

oh wait, schulz gets 5-6 years.... oh, he was another early selection.

Tuck gets extra chances, oh but his last name... we have to select him.

Moore gets 5 years.... but, but.... he wasnt an early selection... his old man didnt play footy... gawn

What about Terry Wallace ?

Surely he has to go this year if we have another poor season.
I'll expect him to be sacked by Round 10 if we have another bad start

Hmmm, well heres the stats for each of those players first 4 years

Moore: 24 games, 7.25 possessions, 3.08 marks per game, 8 goals.
Pettifer: 37 games, 7.7 possessions, 2.86 marks per game, 24 goals.
Schulz: 37 games, 5.42 possessions, 2.6 marks per game, 31 goals.
Tuck: 69 games, 21.8 possessions, 4.8 marks per game, 34 goals.

So you're right..all very even bar tuck who whips them all.

However in his 5th year Pettifer played 22 games kicked 31 goals and averaged 13.3 disposals. Schulz and Moore are both very far behind the 8 ball and need a massive year this year.

Also Moore is a medium half back flanker so the value of "developing" him is far less than pettifer (dangerous small forward) or tuck (tough mid) or schulz (tall forward).

Cheers for that RB. was a decent read.

Moore is on his very last chances, I admit that. However we need to support all players at this time of the season. So much can turn around in one season. Ask Jackson, Tuck, Polak etc.

Lets look at the players who have been delisted since Wallace took over as coach, there has been a few and the ones that remain have been name players (Richo, Brown, Johnson, Newman, Bowden ect,) Others that survived , yes found form at the right time, (Pettifer, Raines, Jackson, ect all Frawley recruited players , and remember Tuck almost got the chop) . Imoa, every Frawley recruited player at Punt road, would be on the Wallace trade/delist radar, I think he'll see his contract out but it's up to him and the players if he gets the extension to it and I think he will get results after that. As KB said " you can't turn grass into lawn over night"

Back to the topic at hand:

The most obvious candidates:

- Kane Johnson, he is under the pump after a very ordinary year last year. He will be 30 odd by the end of the year and may be "asked" to retire if it's seen that he is out of our best 22 by season end

- Greg Tivendale, he is in our best 22, however if we get of to a bad start and say by round 10 where 2-8 and no final chance, he will be one of the first who gives up his spot in order to help the development of youth. More an age thing, as he showed last year that, despite critism, he is still one of our better mids (ain't saying much)

- Matt White, seemed to go backwards last year. He needs to step up into the midfield and dominate at Coburg as he isn't in our best 25 players and while he has good rebounding skills, speed and heart, he lacks defensive qualities. Has alot to do!

- Chris Hyde, similar to Tivendale in that he would probably get at least a starting gig on the bench in our best 22, but really needs to step up in order to avoid being pushed aside to develop promosing mids/HFF's like Conners, Edwards, Cotchin. He is supposibly having a big pre-season and in many eyes was the BOG in our praccy match. However he seems to be a player who is everywhere when we are winning, yet no where when where loosing.

- Kelvin Moore. He also meant to be having a stella pre-season and can add versitily with his solid hieght combining with the fact his has now filled out. He still doesn't really have a position. On his last chance. If he doesn't play 10-15 games with the likes of Rance and Gourdis developing, hes gawn!

- Jay Schultz. It's back of bust for Jay. He surely is on his last chance now. Too one demensional as a foward who never really even dominated at VFL level as a foward. If he is to make it as a back he has to improve his speed and skills as CHB is now one of the most attacking positions. I honestly can't see it happening, I hope I'm wrong

- Danny Meyer, the guy simply hasn't done enough. He is currently injured and will therefore have another limited pre-season. Nothing has really changed in regards to Meyer: he's still silky skilled but is still skinny as rake and simply tpo lazy. Maybe a move to the back flank might help him find more footy, but I simply don't know how where going to fit all these HBF's in.

did you just copy and paste this from last years pre-season predictions?
Its become a broken record stuck on the same track with the same names being brought up, year in year out. ;)

One thing I did hear from someone within the club this week is that Wallace is fully aware that this is his make or break year (2008). Wallace feels he'll go if he doesn't achieve this year, even before his contract runs out.

whats the price on TW being the first sacked? Not suggesting he will, but if you look at the overall comp, he would have to be the one that is closest to being in the gun. Well, you can add Craig David of the crows too. ;)

Good to have you back Cogga.
Eade will be looking sideways if the Dogs haven't won a few by round 12.

smorgon wont let it happen, well not this year anyway, especially with his jibes at TW. Tipping that the doggies are ok with having a holding pattern year, if not a little dip, just to take stock of where they really are and what they need to make a push.
If we havent won a few by round 12, as you well know the natives around tigerland will most definetely start beating the drum harder. They havent stopped for the last couple of years, this year is vital for them, its the one they have been waiting for. ;)

Said it before and I'll say it again. Wallace is as safe as houses from being sacked. If we have another 2007 then he might well walk but he won't be sacked. But then again, we are not going to have anywhere near another 2007.
