GAME for their online store. Nothing quite like having the game delivered to your doorstep on the morning of release for free.

When i have games to trade that are on JBs exclusion list, buying pre owned or when i preorder games - GAME

When buying outright or trading games not on JBs exclusion list - JB

When JB and GAME have no stock or the very rare off chance that a sale item is lower than RRP everywhere else - EB

I don't purchase anything from EB, although i will sometimes venture in to point and laugh at their sky high prices :D.

I used to shop at GAME a lot, i stopped shopping at the closest store due to the incompetent staff. I was a frequent shopper at the store from 07 through to the beginning of 2010, was not sure if it was an Australia wide thing... but the store i shopped at always had good deals (particularly with latest releases, being the same or $1-$2 cheaper than JB Hifi who were the next best in regards to price). I still visit my next closest store every couple of months in order to trade a few games in.

I rarely shop at JB Hifi, i find them to be just as bad as EB in regards to how they store the games that have been gutted (ie: the unsealed stock).

One of the local stores that i have routinely purchased games from over the last few years is my local Harvey Norman (shock horror!!). When i first started shopping there in around 2008, i noticed that they were different to other Harvey Norman stores that i had frequented in the past. For one thing they didn't stick to the RRP, most of the time they would be $10 - $20, sometimes $30 cheaper than the RRP. And as a result would have beaten JB Hifi's cheapest price anywhere from $1 - $30.

However i have noticed over the last few months their standards have been slipping, not getting in as many new releases (other than the AAA titles) and prices, while not always at RRP.... have been steadily rising and not getting as many good discounts. I noticed that they kept Gears of War 3 at the $109.95 price point, i was expecting it to be $87 or $77, but it wasn't to be.

A great deal of my purchasing is done online via: ozgameshop, play-asia and a few others.

Don't shop at any of them any more - exclusively online now. JB and EB aren't bad for browsing, as long as they don't have obnoxious loud music.

JB!

but I've recently found a good online website Ozgames.com pay half the price what you would in store.

just got a controller off them for my ps3 for under $50, only had to wait 5 days after the order was despatched as well.

Got a few things of Ozgameshop before, they take a while to arrive though - games tend to come out on a Thursday here, so you usually don't get them till about 10 days later.

And not really half price, they're usually about $60.

Got a control off there though, super cheap :thumbsu:

I buy at EB the most, find the pre-ordering system to work the best and since it's 100 metres closer than JB I will go there first. :D

However am not adverse to getting games anywhere. Over the past year I would have just about bought an equal amount of games from each store as well as online. Tends to be for me whatever is the most convenient.

I will be getting FIFA 12 from JB due to the pre-order bonus. But will be getting AC:R, Batman:AC and Uncharted 3 from EB because of that 50% trade value thing they did.

And any other games that I may pass on due to time, I will likely get online. Dead Island, LEGO Harry Potter, RAGE, NBA 2K12 likely to be some from wherever I find cheapest online.

JB out of those 3 but almost exclusively online buyer nowadays. EB have the most humorously over priced games surely.
