Can’t be any machetes. VIC installed 400k machete bins
It's bloody handy. I don't want to litter, but ****ed if I'm going to carry my machete around all night after a machete fight.

Won't be at pies next year
Reckon the kid asks for a trade
You say it like it's a bad thing, every chance some token third rounder we'll get for him won't be any worse.

Does anyone else remember the story (Pies myth?) that Des Tuddenham thought Harry O’Brien (as he was then) should toughen up? So Tuddy took him down to St Kilda beach and tackled and tackled him, until Harry transformed into a hardened defender.

Admittedly, I may have dreamt this, but where is Tuddy now in our hour of need?

And what would he think of Allan?🥺
I reckon Tuddy would have taken a dim view of Harry's LSD use. My favourite Tuddy story concerned the rubber false teeth he had specially made for games because he tired of having his normal set broken during games. I doubt there would be a single footballer with a full denture now, but lots of players in Tuddy's pre-fluoride days had lost their natural teeth.

The more I watch him, the more I realise that he won't make it.

He is neither good enough to be an inside mid (not hard enough and not good enough by hand) or outside mid (not creative enough).

Yep he has no weapons at AFL level. Pretty disappointing given how tall he is that he doesn't even have any physical presence. Delist.

Ed is a bit of an enigma.
He seems to have everything that's needed to be a really good footy player but lacks the ability/footy nous to put it all together.
He shows flashes of brilliance to give us hope but then goes back to being a bit of a plodder/spectator.
He'll be 22 next month so still has time to work it out but I wonder if his time at Collingwood is coming to an end.
Maybe some boxing lessons might toughen him up a bit, have any footy players ever done that?

He was impressive today but I saw him go really hard into contests and then not so hard. I think he'd have the toughness but maybe not the desire. He's obviously better playing midfield though

People need to chill. The issue is you and your expectations and hopes. Ed's a young hopeful who isn't yet good enough to hold down a spot in our team - we add a few every year. Might get there - most hopeful draftees don't.

Gary Ablett Senior famously asked Billy Brownless is he wanted to have a spar and Billy grabbed his towel and speedos. So don’t do that Ed

Imagine how idiotic you'd have to be to put on gloves and spar with God.

Wasn't Ed a late bolter even in his draft year? Could be the same pattern plays out as a senior player where he needs more time in the system before he becomes comfortable and makes his mark.

Was 'prolific' on the weekend, 33 touches, 17 kicks, 7 tackles and just under 80% DE. When and AFL player drops back to the VFL Fly expects them to play above the level and that's exactly what ED did.

Like the GWS game, Ed smashed them all day and particularly in the final quarter when CFC needed someone to stand up. Ed hit 3 inside fifty targets in the final quarter against the bombers, two resulted in the winning goals.

Jet and still only 21!
