Any chance Darnum may top there 2's side up with guns to get the 90 odd point win needed to pinch 2nd.
 
LOL drop players back so their twos con get the double chance? You have to be joking. Nobody gives a shit about twos football including most of those playing it. I doubt their senior coach would want to tinker with the senior team anyway leading into finals.

GS why the sudden hostility about 2's footy, maybe we should do away with the whole thing and just have seniors! Or maybe play the 2's games first up each day instead of the under 15's. I believe you where the one who started this thread so what has changed? Have you become too good for the 2's, or have you lost interest becasue Lang Lang aren't there this year?

For 3rd or 4th to win it, they will need to beat both 1st and 2nd.

Which of 3rd or 4th could beat both 1st and 2nd. Darnum hasnt beaten either. Not sure about the Goon.

3rd will also have to play 4th.

This is all assuming Tumbleweed is right and 5th and 6th cant win it. One spanner in the works is that both 5th and 6th only have magoos in the finals, meaning they may have a couple back to help them out.

Will be interesting.
 
I'm not being biased, but i honestly believe if NNG can get over the top of Bunyip they will go on to win the flag. They are flying at the minute.

Tumbleweed, agree with you in a way. Besides our shocker against the dusties, and Saturdays great escape against Nilma. Goon provided us with more of a contest than Nilma did first time around, and Catani did. Goon is the only team who we believe can beat us if we are close to the top of our game. Goon's only problem is their inability to win the big games. Losses to all the teams above them on the ladder at different stages of the season, yet against the weaker teams you will run riot.
 
Good post beljak. I agree the Goons form against the top sides hasn't been flash yet we seem to pants anyone on level pegging or below. That's why i say if they can just win a final it might give them the belief to go on with it. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
 
I also think the Goon is our biggest threat to winning a flag.

We dominated on Saturday for 3 quarters and failed massively in the goal kicking department. First time around we were even at half time when a few silly frees and a couple of fortunate 50s allowed CL to run away with it.

Catani's bigger bodies got us on a shocking day at home earlier in the year when 2 big blokes went into the seniors.

I reckon we beat the Goon at home on a similarly shocking day for pretty much the same reason. Bigger bodies.

The Goon are the team to beat, in my opinion.

The Darnum umpire is the worst one ive seen all year.On saturday he payed 10 frees to dar to 2 in the 2nd half and 1 send off he tryed hes best to win it .And after the game darnum player said he is bad and we are sick of him and the all in brawl last week he started it all,he looked a fool out there, and shouldnt do it at all.Over heard the darnum runner giving him a spray and the ump to him to f**k off and the runner told him the same back.Doesn't he under stand he cant help them in the finals.Get patto to pay someone to do it.On patto did hear yarragan will be the next stop next year.

is that a new club is it?
 
NNG does not need to worry about getting over the top of bunyip this week, had about 6 players only playing 3 reserves games so they cant qualify. Will win by 100 points this weekend

Can anyone shed any light onto whether this is true or not. edfl website states that 1st semi (1st vs 2nd) will be played on sunday next week. Please tell me that this is a mistake. How unfair would it be for a team to finish top 2, lose their first final then have to back up 6 days later for a preliminary final against a team coming off a 7 day break.
