Must be a fair rut to be running around in the magoos.

Doesnt need to be much of a rut at Darnum, these days sneak.

A couple of bad foot passes or a ducked head in a marking contest or some poor decisions, bad goal kicking etc etc can all send you back.

As goodie says. Will probably be back up there this week.

i think that catani 2's are probably the in form ones in the comp... plenty of young talent and old stars that would play ones at most other clubs! Just look at some of the premiership players pullin on the boots in the two's!

The games do seem to get closer when at Darnum, but who knows what will happen when we meet?

A couple of big games in the magoos this week. Goon vs Cobras and Darnum vs Catani. If Cobras and Catani win, then they are 2 games clear in 2nd spot, but if results are reversed then we have a 4 way tie at the top of the ladder. Lots at stake for all sides, I think home ground advantage will be big in both games. I know that Cora Lynn have always struggled at Goon. Dont' know about Catani at Darnum though.

Catani tend to play our smaller ground pretty well. Having said that, we beat them there last year.

Spot on Beljak, couple of massive games there in the context of the season. You would think if either the Goon or Darnum get rolled this week they can kiss there chances of a top two spot goodbye. It appears to me that it's a very lopsided reserves competition this year, with the top 4 miles ahead of the rest of the pack. You would imagine a two game buffer would be too hard reign in.

KWR were one spot below us, with a better %, and have a look what we did to them! Very Lopsided comp, as you said Stan. After Catani this week, Our next big game is Cora Lynn in the final round. Could Very well finish up with 15 or 16 wins depending on how we go this week.

I think this year is alot closer. Goon have been smashing everyone (except Darnum) while Cora lynn have only been turning it on for parts of the game against the top sides (ie Darnum in the 2nd Half and Bunyip in the last quarter), and they only really smashed Poowong. If both teams play 4 quarters then this should be an absolute classic, for a 2's game.

Yeah last year was a totally different ball game beljak. I remember the goon were seriously undermanned that day, probably the worst side they had in all year. Remember, they were a lot more competitive in the semi final up at Neerim, just not quite good enough. This year's side is honestly a ten goal better side than last years. Could be trouble then because this years cobra side depends a lot more of what we get left from the senior side as we don't have the depth of last year. We are probably about 5 or so goals off last years side at the moment but we are steadily improving and I think by the end of the year will be on par if not better than last year. Lots of youngsters who don't quite take it seriously enough just yet.

Plugger please dont for one minute think your twos side is up to beating Catani or Cora Lynn.

The old line about having 8 or whatever players out or unavailable doesnt hold water because i'll bet both the other two and also NNG are in the same boat.

And just off topic a little, managed to catch some of the reserves before watching the top of the table senior clash and not being a smartarse but i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw Bigpapa standing at FF. He would had to have put on 25 kilos since i last saw him early last year. He could hardly move! Whats going on?
