Personally, I cant wait til the 2008 draft. A 15 year old down at Essendon Grammar will be a star in Addam Maric, who has strong hands, kicks it a mile and is almost a Hird clone in his style of play(Being a HF Flanker/Onballer).
Prehaps we can persuade him to keep under the radar and pick him up

it will be hard to draft a quality draft player in this maric character when we win the flag in 08 ... no serious massive raps for a kid who hasnt finished puberty yet.. but if its true i got wide open arms waiting here

There is going to be a lot of clubs who will crash and burn this season, not just us.I think there will be lots of activity come seasons end 06' and deals will be thick and fast between clubs.EFC should not sit back and stay out of it as usual and give our "development" 25 year old players another chance next season.Lets go get those top5 draft picks and get ourselves in a position for the future. We all have to wait till about RD 15-16 before we single out guys for the chop.thats the frustrating part of a bad start to the year.We have to get thru the winter before we really know the state of our club.
The draft is gunna have some quality kids in it this year and its only gunna get better as the years go on.But its a fine balancing act isn't it.Who should stay who should go? glad i'm not callin the shots at BomberLand!

McVeigh has been very good this year in shutting down top midfielders. To me he stays. M.J, J.J are struggling but wont get you the player you are talking about. They stay as they will come good and be of value mixing with what I hope is a young vibrant list. Bolts will get us nothing much but would be nibbled at. To me if there is a spot left ,keep him for depth and our ammusement. Pev gets us nothing, Henno gets us nothing so trade bait is not something these blokes can be considered. Trades for top notch players these days are for early draft picks and Im sure it would have to be a Judd,or a crack young C.H.B befor we give away our top pick this year.(hopefully it isnt pick#1) .Welsh along with Nash, Carts etc may intrest certain clubs in lesser deals. In short, go with kids to add to the promise of our younger players and cut the deadwood as the list dictates. The only way to get a trade for a disgruntled gun is high drafts or high quality. Not easy if it backfires.

I saw him play for PEGS vs Essendon Keilor College on Wednesday in the Herald Sun Shield. If you dont know what that is, its a school competition that is similiar to an interleague comp, except for school kids. Best players from each school play, so that means most players are 17 or 18. You have to be good to be 15 and play, and he is.
Ive heard of him before, kicked 115 goals as a first year U16 in the EDFL A competition, but Wednesday was the first I saw of him and he has quality. Ken Fletcher(PEGS Coach) rates him ahead of Scott West at the same age. And also, EKC reportedly have the most TAC cup kids in their team

Longy has said in aprevious thread that this is not the case, and that further, if he was someone "in the know" he'd hardly go on blabing about it here.

I don't always agree with his opinion, but he backs his opinion, which is alot more than what most people around this place do.

I love my club and have a very strong opinion towards it. I'm happy to debate any topic, I'm also happy to have a laugh, which you and I did not that long ago from memory. If I did it to you and it was unjustified I'm more than happy to apologise.

At the end of the day, everyone has a choice. They can ignore me, they can reply to me, they can disagree with me, or they can agree with me. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to talk about my footy club. But personal insults and slurs are not required. It's as simple as that.

He's only played four games. That's hardly a hell of a lot of opportunities. Especially for a bloke playing in a key position.

Using Quentin Lynch as an example. He's played 60 games, is 23 and is now starting to show some sort of consistent form. If we can get that kind of impact out of Johns down the track, then for a rookie pick, we've done alright.

I'm not sure he's slow either.

I can only judge you on your posts. You are arrogant. DonsRule said you back your opinions up. I don't believe you do. There is a difference between an opinion and fact.

If I post something that I believe to be factual I will so say. If that turns out to be wrong then I will wear it and I have accepted when I've been wrong. You can't critisise if it's accurate.

If I make an opinion, which can't be right or wrong, then I will always back up it up. Always.
