Got this in my inbox, had to laugh! More than likely an upset Eagles fan :)

I must alert you to the sudden outbreak of a new disease ,Its called
SIDSS

Suddenly Im a Dockers Supporter Syndrome

There have been cases reported all over Perth of people who previousl couldn't draw you a football, ranting about the Dockers win.

The most common symptom are people who have said nothing since 95 but are now rambling on that they have always been a Dockers supporter and are running
around putting up streamers and any other piece of fabric they can find that remotely resembles the gay flag.

If you are unfortunate enough to stumble across one of these wretched creatures contact The Bombers Help line as I believe they have a vaccine on its way to
Perth this Friday and the plague should be all but gone by about 9.30 Friday night.

Somebody posted it on Dockerland yesterday. It is pretty funny.

There is more than an element of truth in it, suddenly everyone at work wants to talk Dockers. You'd swear Perth was a one team town this week with the amount (or lack of) of attention that the Eagles are getting.

It was in Inside Cover in the West Australia this morning.

The interest in the Dockers is understandable - after all it's taken them a long time to do something interesting!

I think most realistic people also recognise that the Eagles in their current state haven't got a hope in hell anyway so you might as well talk about an interesting game.

I mean, bloody hell I'm even interested in the Dockers this week!

It's pretty funny :) on the other hand, it's great that the Dockers are finally getting so much attention!

It is very funny - and accurate - but I don't think the virus will last more than a couple of weeks this year.

Who knows - it may recur every year from now on around September for a while.

here's hoping...

I don't care how many people jump on the wagon (or off it to be perfectly honest).

If Freo are playing good footy and are there in September, that's what really counts.

Real supporters will be there all the time - good or bad, and bandwagoners bring cash to the club (any club that is) through their attendance and purchase of merchandise.

As long as Freo are playing finals footy - I'm rapt!

If the "Virus" spreads more rampantly around September over the next few years - it's all good.... it means Freo are up there.

Carna Dockers!!!!

totally agree IP!

I was just up at my son's school. The teachers were wearing the colours, kids had made posters, there were inflatable anchors etc...ohhh, what a feeling, bandwagon or not! :)

Hmmm, I think this virus has the potential to cause a permanent mutation to it's 'sufferers' that will last long after the September incubation period.

If it continues unabated the younger members of the Perth population will be most severly affected by it, lasting for the rest of their lives.

;)

I actually have a closely related virus, called "iabads"...

"I've always been a Dockers supporter".
