We were "embarrassed" after losing to St Kilda, Collingwood and Adelaide this year and Melbourne last year. Senior guys like Pav and McPharlin have had to use the term "embarrassed" so much that it has lost all meaning :o

AS KPR said, nothing ever changes. How much longer are we going to have to endure this? Hopefully the younger guys take it to heart and go about making sure it will never happen again.

Take a look at the players outside the leadership group, and exclude the first year players from that list.

They are the ones responsible for last Saturday's debacle, and the Adelaide game.
They are the ones accountable for those performances.
And they are the ones who should be shit scared about being dropped from the 22 for the last 2 games, traded or delisted at season's end.

And Brett Peake, your coach went within a whisker of calling you out at the post-game press conference, so if I were you I'd sit infront of a mirror and take one of those old fashioned hard looks at yourself. Because he and the rest of us cannot take you constantly falling over all the friggin' time, and costing us turnovers.

In Tour de France parlay," I'd rather have the king of the mountains in my side than the downhill flyers!!":thumbsd:

As others have said, we've heard it all before, means absolutely nothing.

I hope we just play Pratt, Drum, Walters, Clarke for the rest of the season - a good number of our senior players are just not up to it.

Suban and Hill show more steel than most of our older group minus Sandi/Pav put together.

Seriously next year I just want to see a core team of Palmer, Ruffles, Mayne, Hill, Suban, Broughton, De Boer, Ballantyne and Pratt ....throw in Sandi, Pav and Hayden - into one team that is the only way we are going to fix this problem.

Pearce, Clarke, Van Berlo, MJ, Tarrant and Hase as the quiet achievers.

Ruffle the other positions as far as I am concerned - I'd rather go in with 18 switched on short people and develop a team culture from next year.

Yes I meant the Ruffles line

For the past 5 or so years Paul Haselby has been the nominated team apologist. Is Macpharlin's ascent to nominated apologist an indication Haselby will not be given a contract for next year. Are Freo already looking to cement their nominated apologist for 2010?

yep i would agree with this, you might be able to bolden pratt in that too, was he an 08 rookie?

Embarrassed? I'm angry. I flew over to Melbourne for the game, really expecting a win (dangerous thing to do, I know). I can tolerate losing but I CANNOT tolerate insipid performances like that. I know we haven't had too many that bad this year but f*ck me, why do I bother?

Most embarrassed to say that I still support this f*cking club despite the shit that serve up to me year after year.

Luke said exactly the same thing to the media after the last flogging!

Words are so easy... it's time he showed some kind of leadership to stop the rot out on the field.

Our team was looking quite good for the few weeks he was out of the team.

I reckon the young guys know that players such as McPharlin and Peake are not fully committed to playing football, let alone committed to the Freo FC.

Excellent point, that. If the rumour that Peake had to be convinced to play on in 2009 is true, and with this about McPharlin not being that desperate to play footy, it does make you wonder. The performance I saw yesterday at the G was one of the worst in years. I will ever go so far as to say that the effort was worse than in the Adelaide game, where our structural defeciencies re: Pav and Sandi were obvious from the start.

McPharlin is soft. I don't care for your excuses. Get nicked. :(

Embarrassed? Is that the only word that you can use to describe yesterday.

Let me help with some words of wisdom

-Humiliated
-Angry
-Sorry
-Disgusted

Deadset, they are some words I'd like to see. Imagine though how we, the supporters feel

-Tramuatised
-Ashamed
-Disgusted
-Pissed (more ways than one, not that I was after yesterday)
-Sick
-Angry

I know exactly how you feel Stronz, I get the same feelings of rage when Rosa goes near the ball.
Rosa is not in the same league of shitness as Peake is though. Deadset, I can't believe how he's fallen away since the start of the year. Mayor, Sheriff and chief toilet cleaner of spud town.

I feel terribly sorry for you and any other supporters that flew over for Sunday's game.

I thought we were absolute morals as well which as you say is very very dangerous. lol

I feel terribly sorry for you for being loaded with such a sub-standard team to support. :o At least in Melbourne you can go to other games I guess. I went to Adelaide v Hawthorn on Friday night and enjoyed that game a lot more than the Freo one.

If it's hard being a Freo supporter in Perth, it must be ten times harder in Melbourne. There were a lot of Freo supporters at the G on Sunday, and presumably a lot of those live locally. Respect to you all.

Being a Freo supporter in Melbourne is hard, most definately.

If anything kudos to all those who fly over from Perth to support Freo whether they be in Melbourne or other states.

Spending your hard-earned on a team that doesn't play away from home, gets you a lot of credit.
