I guess we want to make it a memorable day for all the right reasons.
Girls always have these dreams on how they wish they were proposed to. So all of a sudden there is this pressure to please the girl which is quite understandable, so we are just doing our best to please. No wonder we get nervous just so it all goes right.
still it's not like the girls gonna say no most would be all teary eyed and happy no matter what way u did it u would think.

Agreed, I just think we have a bit of pride in the way we do it.
Im sure you have a fair idea on how you would like it to happen and a few ideas on how you wouldn't want it to happen.

For me I was thinking there is always the possibility she could say NO, even though I was about 99% sure she would say yes I was still thinking she could say no.
Plus the pressure I put on myself. To me the most important goals I have ever had has been to find a perfect partner and marry her and then raise a family. I have put I lot of emotional effort into making sure I found the right woman. Once I made up my mind to ask her I knew this was the most important decision in my life.
If she had said "No" or even "Not right now but in a year or 2" it would have been the end of our relationship as far as I am concerned.
That was why I was so nervous... plus the asking it in public too is a bit nervous too, well for me atleast.
