Go to bed Vesty.
Seems to have worked so far in County Cricket...
Better suggestion than Stan Darsh getting a recall.
Yikes...

Ok floggos, have an open mind about this.

Will stop India etc. preparing dead wickets as 4th innings will be fked

Will stop England preparing dead set green seamers

Will stop us preparing absolute belters

Too many games of test cricket these days are decided by the toss (yes I’m aware there are more decided before the toss)

Only place this doesn’t have an impact is SA where the best test cricket is played IMO

I agree with you.

I was agreeing with you, as far as I can recall it's been regarded as a success in CC, that's where the (albeit slow) momentum for it to come in at higher levels is coming from.

That said, it's a test match only rule, the shorter, result-focused formats don't really need it and would probably be poorer without the luck of the toss.

This no toss things just sounds like an excuse for places that run cheat grounds, get rid of cheat grounds and we will be good.

That's pretty much the main reason, you won't see countries doctoring pitches if they know they're going to have to bat last on them (or first if it's a green top), then you get more even pitches like Brisbane where there's a bit for everyone.

Right I thought you were being sarcastic as I had no idea it was going well in County Cricket.

Precisely re doctoring of pitches... Sadly it’s a long way away from happening as the cricket purists will stand in the way as it’s a “tradition”.

Woah. Timeout Vesty.
How could you know the best cricket is in SA?

Their cameramen are the biggest pervs, and it almost certainly the spectacle worth watching.

I remember once flicking between watching a Test match in South Africa and ODI back over in NZ. One was an absolute babe-fest in the sun and the less said about the offerings from our kiwi friends the better :$:D

India preparing shit pitches, England not even bothering to mow the grass, Pakistan attempting to create nothing less than dust, Windies attempting to break physics by creating a cement pitch without using cement

That's what makes cricket great. If anything, we as a country are on the wrong track. We should be creating pace belters in Brisbane and Perth, random shit in Adelaide for lols, batsman's paradise here, and a spinners wicket in Sydney

I get what you're saying though, however, the toss shouldn't mean shit if the game was played the way it was meant to be played - English county as an example where the clubs do whatever the hell they want

Seth Efriken tests should be classified as soft core pr0n, especially at The Wanderers

And what's the deal with softcore pr0n anyway? People who don't like pr0n don't like it, and people who like pr0n don't like it!

The same reason why Neighbours is a hit show in the UK - no one knows ****ing why

Maher. Say no more. In fact, say less, like don't quote him. Ever. About anything.

But he hit 173 against Wonga Park once. Surely he knows more than someone like me who took 5/11 in the under 16's against Lalor Stars? :drunk:

Credit to Andy Maher, he's crafted a career as a sports personality despite not playing sports or having any form of personality.

Edgar-Wright > Taylor-Slater > Hayden-Langer
He's a fantastic writer/director, but he's definitely not a better cricketer than Slater, Taylor, Hayden or Langer.
