I believe the EP v C is on ABC tomorrow. Very keen to see how Clarke, Sibosado and Shepherd go. We are not exactly flushed with young talls!!

Half Time. Claremont 10.6.66 East Perth 7.7.49

Shepheard looks a real goer. Kicked one goal. Playing primarily in the forward line. Went up for a few hangers and tackled well and applied forward pressure.

Sibosado a bit quiet. Did a few good things. Doesnt really apply his physical pressure and not that much forward pressure. Either his teammates are not looking for him as an option or he is not putting more of himself forward and asking for it.

Zach Clarke looks good. Done his usual contribution. Good agility and moves well.

Sibo's team mates arent really looking for him but having said that he is a big lump of a lad and needs to learn to impose himself on a game. He is still only a young fella so definately a bit of a project for Freo. nice build and size about him though and seems to move pretty well.

Shepheard looks pretty good to me. Obviously needs to fill out.

Zach Clarke I rate pretty highly and should get an AFL call up sometime this year. The other 2 maybe next year.

BTW Brett Jones is a crab. Does he know how to kick??

Watched most of the game to half time and Sibo looks a prospect but also looks like he's got a lot to learn. He just doesn't seem to know what to do when he doesn't have the ball - almost looks like he needs some mental development more than physical if that makes sense. Having said that, it is difficult to get a complete picture watching on TV only, but that's my initial impression of him.

I've only watched the 1st qtr so far (had to put a tape in after that cos I was nodding off on the couch) but my initial inpressions were that Sibo had made good leads on a few occasions only for his teammates to butcher the ball over his head or wide of him.

He definitely would have had more of an impact early on with more skillful teammates around him.

it seems to me that claremont players disregarded leads from Sibosado.
Very disgraceful of the tigers not honoring his leads, maybe they have a bad attitude to afl listed players (green eyed monster).

It's a familiarity issue at WAFL level.

They don't train with these guys, the only time they really see them is on game day.

It will take a couple of big marks or whatever, and they'll know what he can do, and they'll go to him.

But they'll go to someone like Cones all the time because he's been there for ages, and they know what he can do, and what his limits are.

that's a pretty radical conclusion to jump to

Maybe, your right. but i saw a few times when he lead to ball and the tiger player just turnover the ball, rather than honoring his lead.

One situation, a tiger player refused to handpass to him and kicked it long to a 1 on 3 contested.

either the tigers have no idea or they are refusing to pass him the ball.

I remember that when mckenna was coaching the tigers because of the eagles alligment. it didnt work as claremont players got their noses out of joint when they made way for eagle players.

Maybe, things have changed. i dont think so
