Ive Had it since boxing day last year and its not in my family at all just a freakish thing and was wondering if anyone else here has it how it affects them and how they cope with it - it has been causing grief too and partially wrecking parts of my life

My partner has it. It is quite manageable if you take your medication don't get streesed and get regular sleep. However it is quite distressing watching somone having a seizure.

Sorry to hear that you have it Jimmy Gwilt. ****en hell man, imagine not being able to drive or swim or do any other cool stuff. What kind of stuff cant you do Jimmy Gwilt, i would imagine going out on the town isnt something that you can do alot.

Swimming is fine, although obviously it'd be wise if there was someone else there. If you take your medication as people have said you can lead a normal life.

Why wouldn't you be able to swim?

My son has epilepsy and swims almost every day.

People can lead very normal lives if they look after themselves.
Can he swim in the beach? What i meant was that swimming by themselves would probably not be possible because of risk of getting a seizure.

I don't think it's too smart for anyone to go swimming on their own let alone at the beach.

What you say is true to a point, but as a diabetic I have the same problem. You need to be careful but it's completely managable if you treat it seriously.

Silly question. You don't go to the beach if the person who has epilepsy isn't feeling the best.
