Can't see the ban on 3pm kickoffs ending any time soon. Shame, the demand is there and I don't think it would negatively effect anyone to have the games on.

I dunno about that

The PL has been very accessible for over ten years through these types of streaming practices.

Decade's a long time. That's about 5 million old Brits who've carked it and been replaced with people who've watched videos on smart phones most days or every day of their lives.

The Saturday 3pm rule seems sacred set in stone to me.

The FA may feel obliged to keep the rule but if so the Premier League will schedule around it. It's getting to the point where if they want a big hot money injection showing all the games is what they'll have to do.

There's an entire matchday this season or next where Facebook or YouTube (can't remember which) is going to legally stream every game. It's getting closer.

Could kill a few non league clubs?
Can't see it. Most wouldn't earn much at the gate anyway (Alty would get maybe £10k) and I doubt attendances would be affected too much.

At Alty they advertise for people to come to their game and watch the latest premier league game in the bar after.

No. Because hundreds of one sided games get televised every year and have been for decades. Have you only just noticed?

It's not defensive about City because City didn't make the fixtures or choose for it to be televised. I couldn't give a toss if BT televised it or not.

And in the end Newcastle could easily have nicked a point out of the game as well.
Actually I’m not sure many games have been shown that pits clearly the best team in the league against absolute fodder at home. How many league games are city going to be shown on the box this season - 38?

City won at a canter in the end. You played shit but still had about 80% of possession and afforded Newcastle about two shots. It was a waste of time for the neutral viewer yet again

Man City will be on the 3pm gig for a few weeks until their Liverpool 530 BT game

Solid win for Sarri-ball and nice to get a clean sheet.

We look so much better every time Giroud replaces Morata. I'd also like to see Christensen start over Luiz, who is still a bit of a bomb scare at the moment.

Everton v West Ham after the international break is huge. Easily the two most underwhelming teams of the season so far considering the money spent. Just the one win between them. Everton can at least say they're still unbeaten, but considering they had probably the easiest run of the fixtures to start the season, I think their fans would be just as disappointed as Hammers fans going in to the break.

No one is Looking particularly good so far, which might actually make for an interesting season. Liverpool haven’t looked all that and City don’t look as good as last season. Chelsea haven’t impressed me either plus they haven’t played anyone yet. Early days still though

Didn't you hear Everton were going to crack the Top 4?

Glad that we are now seeing what a fraud manager Pellegrini really is though. Just shows that winning titles ain’t everything on a CV and how easy it is to do at certain clubs.

like what he did at villarreal and malaga?

It's outdated logic. "Well, no games on TV. Will spend money to watch a lower team I don't care about." They watch something else or find a pirate stream.

If the 3pm ban was done away with lower league teams could actually sell their own streams.
