Basic skill errors are Killing the Tiges !
Once we start causing turnovers , our skill level goes down, and it upsets the whole team structure, we've got no confidence in terms of running off and getting numbers to the ball and this compounds the errors, leaving players isolated with the ball and with self induced pressure, start making more turnovers.

Its a BIG BIG worry and we have to get this right in a hurry.
The Dawks like the Shockers win their fair share of the ball but also through skill errors turn it over.If they can correct this we're in for another uphill struggle .

The Dawks are fragile at the moment along with the injury to Joel Smith and form slump of key playmakers, Chick, Harford & Rehn, they're close to rock bottom.

For the Tiges to be in front we need to have a CRACK (Physically & Mentally) get some numbers around the ball which should help our skill level and hopefully get our confidence back.
We need to dominate early like the pies game and at least be ahead by half-time. The usual suspects need to front up and dominate, Bowden,Campbell, Knights and Tivendale.
Otto needs to kick a bagfull up forward
Razor in Ruck against Rehn (expose his poor form and lack of mobility)
Sziller on Crawford (just stop his run)
Gas on Thompson (their form forward)
And for F**** sake give Rodan longer game time (must this obvious always be stated)

Do all of the above and we have a chance.
Don't and we will continue to have a season of Errors, Errors and Errors.

Ironic really!

We have gone from a team that was hard as nails but with no skill, to a team that is well, less hard, but with infinitely more skill except under pressure when it all goes to water.

What we should be more focused on is getting the balance between grunts and skill right.

Look at the Kangaroos - they won premierships because they were more focused on the hard contest rather than the fancy skills - whenever under pressure, they just got the ball and moved as far forward as possible to the next contest. Skills were only a secondary consideration.

A lesson to be learnt in history there!

Errors, Errors, Errors

"A rash of unforced errors for the club's 42-point loss to Hawthorn "

We so often failed by reckless disposal brought on ourselves by turning the ball over more than 60 times and wasting the ball when the game's momentum turned our way, a lot of hawks goals came directly from our mistakes, we won a lot of the contested possessions but we wasted it.

Skill errors are killing us.

Weren't you the one saying a few losses won't hurt ... we're bound to have them ... they have to happen sometime?

Errors DO let us down, but we need to encourage the guys, get beehind them!

We can't afford to underestimate the Crows they will have McLeod back who will be fired up as will the whole team as they have had two consecutive loses like us.

Kane Johnson who has probably been their best this year though i think is out with a hamstring injury.
