I loved From the Sea, and Black Finger nails & Red Wine is also becoming one of my NEW-E faves.

it's a pity they were a little overexposed on commercial radio. i soon got sick of them but they're not the worst aussie act going around.

One of the more interesting Australian bands.

From the Sea - Good tune and catchy

Black Finger nails & Red Wine - Has an 80's sound to it, good song.
 
They are alright, I know one of the band members Brothers went to my school..don't ask me which one though. I quite like their new song although I am getting rather sick of it due to the fact that it is played around 100 times a day by my Mother :thumbsd:
 
i prefer the older, more rock based eskimo joe... the last lot of songs didn't do a whole lot for me, however this new one i don't mind at all... it has a bit more edge than any of the tracks i heard from their last album...

I'm definitely becoming a pretty big Eskimo Joe fan. A band you probably shouldn't take too seriously (lyrics can be pretty cringeworthy if you listen closely) but a nice band if you feel like listening to some sing along songs.
 
Saw them live at Thebby 18 months ago-and they were awesome. They sound better live than they do recorded-Kav's vocals especially. Am disappointed that we'll miss their concert this year but we'll be in sunny Queensland on holis. I urge everyone to go check them out live though.
 
I sure as hell hope not.

A few months ago you'd change a station to get away from one of their songs, only to find that same track was playing on another station!

Don't listen to this band much, but From the Sea, Sydney Song, Smoke and Who Sold Her Out aren't bad little tunes. their last few songs have been James Blunt-esque though (New York :thumbsd:)

I think she models undies, or clothes, but not hand creams. She is only going out with him cause he is in a rock band. Who sold her out is really bad.
 
Their 4th studio album "inshalla" will be released on the 29th of May.

Their first single off it 'Foreign Land' hasn't dominated the charts but I think it's bloody good, you guys looking forward to the album?
 
Anyone listened to Inshalla in full yet?

I have and have to say Black Finger Nails.........etc was a much better album. Foreign Land is a great song, the rest are a bit ho hum. I also think their are more 'slow' songs compared to the rock like Foreign Land. Maybe it will grow on me with more listens but I am not that impressed with it.

Have to agree Bombers Forever...
Gave it a couple listens last night hoping it will grow on me. A couple of songs on the album arent too bad, Foreign Land is an obvious stand out.

Certainly appears on a couple of listens, that they've included a few more slower songs than normal...
