It is disappointing to have to do this but it needs to be said.
The standard of the posting on our board has gone downhill lately.
I'm not talking about the opinions of people, as that is their right but i am talking about the abuse of each other, posts full of swearing, SMS talk, avoiding the swear filter and POSTERS USING THE CAPS LOCK TO RAM HOME THEIR MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the things the Admins come down on is abuse.
Every poster has the right to voice their opinion.
Every other poster has the right to disagree with their opinion and discuss the point but what neither has the right to do is abuse anyone because they don't agree with their opinion.
A bit of light hearted stuff is fine but we all know where the line is so make sure you stay on the correct side of it.
If you feel that you can't discuss a post you disagree with in a civilized manner then you have options.
1: Don't reply
2: Put that poster on ignore so you don't have to see their posts.
Bagging our players.
We all do it but some posters are going overboard in their criticism.
There are some Essendon supporters that don't like to see their players being criticized but they need to realize this is a footy forum and emotions run deep but they also shouldn't have to put up with seeing their favourite players getting slaughtered by their fellow supporters.
There are Essendon BF members who don't post on our board due to the over the top bagging of our players.
A bit of common sense and a couple of deep breaths.
This week 3 members have been advised that if they don't change their posting style they will have their access to our board removed.
This is not what we want to happen but it has to remain a forum where people can generally get along, have some fun and posters don't feel uncomfortable or too scared to post.
For those that have not read them here is a copy of the BF rules.
This thread will stay open and we would appreciate any feedback but please don't make it personal or name any posters.
