WHY I RESPECT THE BOMBERS

Firstly well done on beating the filthy cheating carltank scum... Again.

i believe Essendon stand for winning, you guys win.

The game a few years ago which was labelled the BRYCE GIBBS CUP was a defining moment for your club, Carlton were up at the time with Scotland and Fevola Dominating, the game was theres than they decided to Tank they took Fevola off and they took Scotland off the bombers answered with a round of goals and the rest is History.

Now from that game they managed to get Squ... Gibbs (who despite his reputation on bigfooty looks like becoming a hell of a player) and you guys got Gumbleton (who may be a star but has been crippled by injuries)
Since than Carlton has Bought Juddas who was on offer to the highest bidder, Another First Rounder In Kreuzer and they still havent been able to get a list as good as the bombers.

From the outside looking in, it looks like your footy club knows Losing in this jumper is not tolerated, your culture says you give 100% at all times and nothing less will be accepted, While carlton sit back knowing that 20 players on their list know how it feels to lose a game on purpose,when times get tough fev cracks the sads and sooks to the umpire and NOTHING is done about it, Juddas Only goes 1 way and NOONE says a word, Nick stevens remains the softest most unaccountable player in the history of the game and they just keep giving him the footy to turnover.

They havent learnt they also got Chris "The Rat" Johnson to deliberately **** over the club that had given him his start, by nominating for the PSD after the national draft date.. all so carlton didnt have to give anything up to get him.

They bought Warnock again another player who went for Pratts Dirty money.

While essendon were blooding players like lonergan monfries neagle hooker kids who love the jumper, you can see in the rnd22 speech from Mark Mcveigh you guys have a passionate list passionate leaders and your club is great. Your not the most talented list but every player knows exactly what your footy club represents .. Giving your all .. and WINNING

Basically I believe your club has the best culture in the game and although at times i hate you i have nothing but respect for you! im not sure how many opposition supporters agree but if we could build a culture at richmond like u have at essendon id sure take it

quality post - a good mate is a tiger & each preseason you can see in his eyes the hope that this will be the year they turn it around, & each year he again suffers the disappointment of yet again being let down.

Always good to see us getting credit from opposition clubs, especially when its about the passion that each player on our list feels for our mighty club.

And as others have said, Richmond will rise up again, its just a matter of time.

Never really liked Richmond and have enjoyed the last 29 years.

What I find particularly annoying is when a rival supporter comes on here praising our team and gets replies saying how gee we have a soft spot for Richmond, love your song etc puke etc.....

Don't forget Hadley. How long did the Lions stick with him through his injuries, only for him to show his true colours and head to Carlton as soon as he was fit again? Fits their culture to a tea.

As a Carlton supporter im expecting to be told where to go but i'd just like to drop in and say well done on the way you're playing.
As much as i would love to spit on the face of the Essendon Football Club, you guys play the best football and are my favourite team to watch.
I think on a league scale Carlton and Essendon are around the same mark. But one on one you guys have our measure plus plenty. Due to our 'easier' run home i think we can make the finals. And i would love to see a Carlton Essendon final.
Hopefully we can show up for it.

Was at the game and was very impressed with the bombers especially after losing Watson, who simply set the game up for you. We probably should have been up by 3 or 4 goals in the first half but werent able to capatilise and after that we were unaccountable and you used the footy brilliantly. I really do love the way you guys go about your football and you have nearly single handidly changed the way clubs are playing, using speed, playing through the corridor and fast ball movement to counteract zones. it makes watching football exciting again!

I think your very harsh on Hadley and I dont agree that he came to the club for $$$$. He had massive troubles with injury and needed a change of scenery, doing rehab at a Club continually and not getting out on the park is tough and this was his main reason behind leaving the Lions.

On Stevens, I really feel sorry for him and blokes like Stevens and Scotland who have put up with getting belted for 6 or 7 years. I think a couple of mistakes in key passages and his lack of awareness rather than his lack of pace were whta made his game really stand out, he was poor and needs to fight back this week...otherwise he could well find himself in the ants line up.

On Judd, do you really think Judd would come to Carlton for an extra 100k or so....Collingwood and Essendon have very wealthy supporters and are wealthy clubs, they could have matched our offer. Judd has a genuine interest in the environment and was given the opportunity to Captain the club. We also had well respected guys on the chase, Swan, Icke and Sticks. How could you not be impressed with these guys, all I'm trying to say is that Chris Judd does not seem like the kind of guy who would play at a club just because of an extra $ or two, other clubs would have provided similar packages.

On Warnock, now Carlton really needed a ruckman and Warnock would always be number 2 at Fremantle. He is paid under the same Salary Cap as everyone else and has the opportunity to become the number 1 ruckman of an up and coming side, why wouldn't he go?

Now the rubbish with Chris Johnson...what is wrong with knowing you can get a guy for basically nothing and doing it? Isnlt that smart? I remember the Dons doing something slightly inproper with Mal Michael.....

Anyway I'm hoping that we can get enough wins on the board to push into the 8 and wouldn't it be fantastic if we were able to meet again this year...Unfortunatley our Tigers man wont be seeing any finals action this year which is quite upsetting, maybe if they had some decent people in their football department who weren't constantly back stabbing and potting each other they might be a chance.....thought I'd get a quick one in there

Oh and on tanking somebody better tell Richmond that they didn't need to start doing that on Sunday, they can wait until the end of the year.

And how would you have any idea what he earns?? Anyway I'm not in for an argument or debate on Judd, just think that he doesnt seem like the sort of guy that would go to a club purely for cash....I'm also impressed with Essendon as stated and absolutley agree with that
