Yep, my gut feel is pretty good this week, regardless of the doom and gloom the football public seem to have about us right now.
Sure, we will miss and cant really cover Jimmy, Fletcher, Froggy and McVeigh, but IMO they also have a few they cant either in West, Grant, Cross and Griffin. I actually think they will struggle to cover their major loses more than us.
West has had some rippers against us, in two of the last 3 games he has racked up 39 and 36 touches.
Plus, losing Fletcher against Footscray is as good an opponent as there is. Ryder looks like he is fine, Lloyd has a great record against the pups and will be Cherry Ripe for this. They get good drive from half back, and IMO Davey and McVeigh are the huge loses this week amazing as it sounds.
Lloyds record against em reads, outside of the game last year he got injured - 6, 6, 5, 11, 5 - not bad. Lucas had a day out last year - 8.
They have only beaten us last season since 2000 - we have had a great run against them and only just fell short last season, as good a run as they had and as horrific we were.
Honestly, I think this should be an even money, pick'em game.
