No chance of it been Jetta. Or well, there's a chance, but the idea of bringing him in after some good games playing as a mid in the seconds and Heppell resting logically suggests that Jetta will start in the midfield. His endurance is probably the biggest question mark so it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Hope he plays well but not too well that he causes even more headaches at the selection table.

Hard to know what the real injury story is with Fletcher... and Hurley..

Not that you would risk either of them for GWS if they weren't right.. but Fletch in particular has been out for a month now.. any chance they won't be ready for Geelong?

GWS won't even be competitive tomorrow.. it will just be a matter of how far and how hard we want to push it.. knowing that Geelong is up next. I reckon we'll be up by over 100 by 3 Qtr time and then probably put the stick in the rack for an easy 120 pt win.

Just want a good professional performance tomorrow. Percentage is important though, we really missed out on cashing in last time we played them. Played like millionaires from the get go, and came away with a 66 point win.

Their defence is probably the weakest it's been in it's 27 games. No reason for us not to win by 130+

I don't want to appear selfish or offensive, however, I would love to see Essendon score 200. Was it Crameri after the siren for a point against GC to reach 197? So close. 198 against the Kangas, 184 against Melb and 182 against Carl since 2000.

I was there at Western Oval in 1982 when we kicked 208 points - our highest ever and only time we have ever kicked 200 or more. I so wanted us to reach the 200... they nearly didn't. Remember Simon Madden in a marking contest that day ... he punched the ball way in the air in a marking contest and it went a long way in front of those contesting the mark. Then he sprinted after the ball and marked it. You rarely saw that back then. It was only 5 years or so before that that Bulldogs gave us a caning by 100 points at Windy Hill, was there too in the dim dark days of the seriously poor seventies.

How can you be so pessimistic? This is an expansion side with 1 competent defender, 3 competent forwards and 5 at most competent midfielders

I don't think i've ever been more confident of a win ever, and that includes every game from the year 2000.

The demons kicked 12 goals against them in a quarter, and the Gold Coast beat them by 7 goals, and this has happened in their last 5 quarters of football... The GWS will already be mentally beaten in todays game. Its just upto us to decide how physically beaten and scoreboard beaten they will be..
