How is that saying you can't judge them? She's just saying she doesn't think people who are so negative and short-sighted deserve to. That's an opinion on your negativity. Plenty of people have rights they don't deserve.

Well sorry, you're wrong. I hardly consider myself an "insider" on this forum. I rarely even notice at who posts, just what. You could have been a member since 2000 for all I knew, or cared. I still thought the thread was pretty pathetic.

Basically, you've come on here and started a thread celebrating the dropping of a player who wears the red and white with pride, and bagging him unreasonably and unmercifully.

There are plenty of threads where you could have expressed the fact that you are happy with his being dropped. You aren't the only one on this board who thinks he should have been. Have a look at the weekend's match thread and you can see that, clear as day. Everitt isn't exactly a fan favourite.

But to start a thread revelling in his being dropped and bagging him (despite being, since moving forward, our most potent goalkicking option over 180 cms) is bad posting, however experienced you are, and that's why you're being bagged for it.

The fact that the board has reacted so strongly to your expression of an opinion that a good portion of the board shares does not reflect an agenda against you or your opinion (since it's quite a popular one), but your method of expression.

I'm pretty new to BF and havn't been copmpletely shut down by any of the poster on here mate.... Then again, I havn't started a thread designed to get people to shut me down...
 
I wasn't going to respond to you after your earlier contribution to the public stoning, but I appreciate this more measured response. I will accept that I made a mistake by including the word hooray in the title, but the content of the original post is not unreasonable.

I'm a long-term McVeigh critic (not "basher") and am largely unpopular because of it. I defend Jesse White against most criticism, which also ensures I draw fire on this board, but I stand by my opinions and will stand up for your right to express your opinions too ... but like others, I was dismayed at the "dancing on his grave" nature of the title of this thread.

I also think you're being very short-sighted in your dismissal of Everitt; I think he's a very good footballer still developing.

It's not the fact you're new, it's the fact you're new AND came off as an arrogant **** by insulting one of the most popular members on here. We are not an insular society, as many others have said, when they have begun posting they haven't been attacked, but I'd describe the board like a footy club. You attack one of us, you attack all of us, and we will defend one of our number. Heck I'd have defended Woolfie if he'd been the one you'd attacked, and everyone on here knows the history between us.

This was resolved neatly yet you seem to want to pick at the carcus. What is wrong with you? The more you try and justify the unnecessary attacks the more it is clear you are the last to disperse from a rampaging mob. Its not brave. Just move on.
