Really disappointing preseason again. Been watching the games tonight and it’s clear we are still lacking a lot. Not impressed with the limp intensity for the third year in a row as slow starts have cost us better finishing positions both years under Silva. You play the way you train and our training is shithouse.

He's good but not worth that price. We don't really need him that much either as he plays on the right and we have a bunch of right wingers.

Had a feeling for a week or so now it will happen, but not fussed if it doesn’t. Really just hope we don’t overpay, £60mil is about right in the market (even if I don’t like it) but even then I’d rather bring in a couple of players from abroad like Lozano & Llorente which would cost about that.

VAR being in will make him miss shitloads of games if he puts on an Everton shirt though, he’d get a 3 match ban for taking a shotgun slug to the chest

I was also a lot more interested until these utterly ridiculous prices started to be mentioned.

I felt we’d be overpaying if we forked out £65-70m but I was still okay to back the club in and understood with the time of the transfer and the position Palace are in we’ll have to pay that kind of fee.

I just cannot help but feel worried if we pay anything more than that.

Absolutely no issues with Iwobi, I understand that £35m is probably a bit more than what we would’ve paid if we signed him a month ago.

I think he is a perfect blend of Premier League experience but still a ceiling to improve!

If the best we can do is an Arsenal fringe player how do we expect to match them on the table? We seem destined for 8th odd again...

The lack of a CB and missing Zaha really makes it an average window and spending too much on a slight upgrade on Bernard etc is depressing.

Going to be way too much pressure on Kean to deliver and we have DCL and Tosun as back up *vomit*
