Everybody just calm down. Yes we got beaten tonight but, hey, give Freo some credit they played well, The damming statistic for Carlton is that they kicked 3.11 after half time to Freo's 3.5. The final score was Freo 13.10 to Carlton 11.15 - 23 scoring shots to 26 by Carlton. With us kicking 2.6 in the last quarter. Bad kicking is bad football!

However, look at the good side we were killed in the hitouts but still won the clearances and could have won the game. Also don't forget that we were bottom 2 years ago and Freo played in a preliminary final.

Carlton will make the finals this year, but anyone who thinks we are a top 4 side is dreaming. We still have one glaring problem that we have to get fixed before we can challenge - that is that we need to get our players to kick it to someone other the Fev (who needs a rocket after tonight's performance - whether he was fit or not). We need to get other players to step up. Perhaps Fisher might be the one, much as I like the Chief, I don't think that he is capable of holding down CHF. At best he is a bit player only. Cloke needs a rocket up his clacker, he has had 2 or 3 very bad weeks and should have a spell with Bullants.

What about giving Harlett or Carlos a try. But whatever we do, we have to get some other good targets up forward.

Onwards and upwards and let's give the the Magpies next week.

I am sick of losing, I am sick of players not chasing or tackling hard enough but they still get to play week in week out. We are supposed to be improved but you see the same bunch of mediocre players putting in a shit effort when it starts to get tough.
How many times have you seen one of our players jogging at medium pace behind a Freo player with the ball, thinking that "oh if i put an effort in chasing them, by the time I have reached them, they would have kicked the ball anyway, so there's no point in chasing"

Definitely agree! I watched the game online this morning.. Was tired and not quite into it.. To be honest, it was poor football - but I attribute that to a bad week.

Yea, it's frustrating to watch - especially the fact that no forward could take a mark inside 50 (apart from Fev's 1 goal, did we?) - but players like Armfield gave it their all. I feel bad for him, especially when idiot supporters come and knock him down just for making a few mistakes...

There may not be many positives from this game, but good efforts by Judd (as per usual), Murphy, Gibbs, Armfield, and Waite..

Let's bounce back and prepare for next week..
