Heh, went to school with this guy, funny how these stories are always accompanied by "I am shocked and surprised" stories by those who know them.

A colleague's husband is a newer real estate agent in the region and she was telling me that a lot of the young hotshot Redlands RE types are sweating because the scuttlebut is that McCann spilled about 20 names to get off the hook.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
 
Have never quite understood why the system / regulators has allowed real estate agents to earn the types of of money they do through the sale of properties that ultimately, mostly sell themselves. I've known a few over the years and apart from sticking an ad in a paper / local rag / internet etc., and attending a property for an inspection, the money they make is ridiculous and completely disproportionate to what it is they do, but they will certainly have you believe, but for their ingenuity, properties would never have sold.

Just a flawed system that seems to attract many similar types.
 
Currently enjoying a small American following for Chuckles and Giggles...and not so many Australians. Over half my views are from the US, followed closely by Vietnam (where my artist is from) and then Australia.

Just got the new artwork in for chapter five today, absolutely LOVING what this guy can do!

Anyone got any experience home brewing cider that they want to share? Started thinking getting into it because it's the one drink both the wife and I quite like and from some accounts it's quite easy compared to beers.

Here's a little trick to help you remember. If it's clear and yella', you've got juice there, fella. If it's tangy and brown, you're in cider town!
 
Figured I'd put my rant in here about my new year.

I've been a piece of shit for years. I've drunk too much (Nigelicious and TBD and co are witness to this) and the price I've paid was pretty big. But bloody hell I'm feeling good this year. One thing that I've struggled with is fear and anxiety thanks to a great little mental condition I found out I had after teaching out in Western Queensland in special needs.

Its quite refreshing when you can wake up at the start of a new year realizing you can begin again and having far better control and knowledge in ones self.
 
Just watching one of those Pawn Shop shows, and some bloke brought in denture moulds of the Kray brothers...
 
Really glad that the lunatics in the anti-vaccine movement are getting increasingly treated with the scorn and mockery that they deserve.

The capacity of people to be incredibly selfish, gullible and self-destructive never ceases to amaze.

Big fan of what Jimmy Kimmel is doing.

Geez, Port Vila (and the rest of Vanuatu) copping a direct hit from a Cat 5 cyclone. There will be a horrible aftermath to this - a sizable death toll and terrible damage property, infrastructure and cropping. I'd encourage everyone to donate to red cross etc. and help our neighbours.

So, with my first story Chuckles and Giggles, I've come to the end of another story arc (YAY!).

Unfortunately it comes right in the middle of a chapter. Now I'm torn between filling up the rest of the chapter with drivel or blending the next story arc into this one (as events from the first story arc do lead into the second one) but I really WOULD like to keep them separate because the chapter in question is chapter 42 and I'd like to be able to cut-off there for the second volume of the Chuckles and Giggles e-book (the first volume goes from chapter 1 to 21, although really it might be better to make the second volume go from 22-39, as the story seems a bit more logical that way).

If you were able to follow that, have a biccy and two panadol.

Amazing tech. People already become consumed in the internet via PC's. I can see people easily becoming entirely consumed with this and living their lives within the world it creates.

The movie/tv function looks particularly awesome. I wonder what gaming would look like, whether your living room could eventually turn into a jungle setting in an fps or a race track. Amazing.

It's application down the track in the field of education could be revolutionary.

If this is the beginning I can't wait to see what the refined versions look like in 10 or 20 years time.

This type of technology excites & frightens me, I get excited by the marvels that can be achieved with it& it it frightens me by what may become of society as I know it.

Then I get pissed off that I won't be around to see it!
