comes down to mobility first and foremost - not all ruckmen are the same obviously.

But, the most important defensive area in the game has become the forward line - as the key driver of so much offence is now rebounding from the half back/back line.

It's no shock that we are one of few teams who constantly allow an extra back (I noticed we changed this up a gainst GC - hmmm) - not only does it stop us from being able to score but allows the opposition so much on their offensive side.

if only we countered this with an extra back ourselves - but no, we are still in the dark ages with an extra around the ball and club still obsessed with the contested ball count.

If we didn't have the extra around the ball then we would be put to the sword in a matter of minutes. You cannot take Watson, Myers and Hocking out of a stoppage and replace them with NOB, Howlett and Melksham. You have to clog it up.
