Solved Executed in the US.

This thread is for the crimes of the convicted on death row and execution imminent in the US.

Daniel Lewis Lee was executed today in Indiana, being the first execution by lethal injection at a federal level in the US since the death penalty was restored in 1988. The last execution took place in 2003. Three more are scheduled between now and August, Wesley Purkey, Dustin Honken and Keith Nelson. Attorney General William Barr has announced a further fifty nine will follow.

Lewis, Purkey, Honken and Nelson have all been convicted of child murder.

Daniel Lewis's partner in the murders of the Mueller family of three was Chevie Kehoe of Kehoe family infamy, of greater prominence in the white supremacist movement and a childhood friend of serial killer Israel Keyes. Kehoe received a life sentence, Lewis death.

Victim Nancy Mueller's mother Ms Peterson, has been vocal against the execution of Lewis.

Kehoe had arrived in court "dressed very nicely like a young businessman" while Lee "was not", she remembered - "he had the Swastika on his neck...he didn't have no eye.

"He really looked like an outlaw. He was instantly judged the minute he walked into the courtroom. You could see the prejudice on the jury's faces and the people in the audience, you could tell.

"And myself, at the time, I'm not going to exclude myself because I felt the same thing that they felt. I felt like he was guilty from the time he walked in, before even hearing anything."

It was argued in court by Lee's attorneys that Kehoe told Lee to kill Sarah but he refused, telling him "I don't kill children", said Ms Peterson, to which Kehoe had allegedly said "I do" before killing the eight-year-old.

"So, who's the worst man? That's the way I feel," she continued.

The details of these murders which were prolonged, were particularly cruel. They're bad. Like most of the crimes committed by the convicted sitting on death row.

Kehoe Brothers

The Muellers
In 1996, William and Nancy Mueller and their 8-year old daughter Sarah were brutally murdered. Their handcuffed bodies were found in a lake. Agents later recovered a compatible handcuff key from Chevie Kehoe's home.

The Crime and Investigation
Brothers Chevie and Cheyne Kehoe, their father, Kirby, and accomplices Daniel Lee and Faron Lovelace were devoted members of the Aryan Peoples' Republic, a white supremacist organization. They spent the period between 1995 and 1997 engaged in criminal activities that promoted and funded the organization.

Their collective crimes, conducted across a five-state area, included multiple murders, kidnappings, firearms violations, robbery and violent shoot-outs with police, using a portion of the loot to purchase an Idaho property for a training base. In 1996, Chevie Kehoe and Daniel Lee robbed and viciously killed a Federal Firearms Licensee, William Mueller, and his family. Local, state and federal law enforcement agencies collaborated in a series of investigations culminating with the five suspect's arrests.

All five defendants were convicted in state or federal courts. Kirby Kehoe pled guilty and received 44 months imprisonment. Cheyne Kehoe got a sentence of 24 years. Chevie Kehoe and Daniel Lee were both convicted of murder, with Kehoe getting life imprisonment and Lee the death penalty. Faron Lovelace was also convicted of murder and sentenced to death.

Wesley Purkey.
68 years old, scheduled for execution tomorrow.

Purkey lured 16yo Jennifer Long into his car and took her to his house in 1998. Inside his basement, Purkey r*ped Jennifer, stabbed her repeatedly when she tried to escape and then, using an electric chainsaw over two days, cut her body into pieces and burned her remains inside a fireplace fueled by logs and diesel fuel. He eventually dumped her ashes 200 miles away in a septic pond in Clearwater, Kan., south of Wichita.

He also was convicted in state court for using a claw hammer to bludgeon to death an 80-year-old woman who suffered from polio and walked with a cane.

Dustin Lee Honken
52 years old.

Dustin Lee Honken was convicted in 2004 in one of the state's most heinous mass murders: five people, including two girls who were 10 and 6. Also shot to death were their mother and two men who were to testify against him in a 1993 drug trial.

The bodies were hidden in northern Iowa, where Honken lived. The killings worked. Prosecutors couldn't convict Honken for his role in a sophisticated methamphetamine operation. He went back to selling meth.

Honken was arrested for drug offenses in 1996. The bodies were found four years later, and Honken has been on death row since receiving a federal death sentence in 2005.

Honken's accomplice, Angela Johnson, was convicted in a separate trial and sentenced to death, becoming the first woman on federal death row in decades. A judge overturned her death sentences in 2012.

Executed today.

Last words were: "This sanitised murder really does not serve no purpose whatsoever. Thank you."

Nobody yet likes this thread but I will keep at it for a bit longer. :poo:

A US appeals court has lifted a stay of execution on the only woman awaiting a federal death penalty.
Lisa Montgomery strangled a pregnant woman in Missouri before cutting out and kidnapping the baby in 2004.
If the execution goes ahead, she will be the first female federal inmate to be put to death in almost 70 years.
Montgomery's execution date was originally set for last month but a stay was put in place after her attorneys contracted Covid-19.
It was then rescheduled for 12 January by the Justice Department. But Montgomery's lawyers argued that the date could not be set while a stay was in place.

Serial killer who attempted to stop his execution because he caught COVID apologizes for murdering seven men as he is put to death (but complains he didn't get jelly donuts with his last meal of pizza)
