I think it should be...

IN: Davis, Medhurst
Out: Dick, Isles

Tooves can take Isles spot down back, maybe on Akermanis.

I'm assuming Jimmy isn't fit by the way.:(

medhurst should only be in to improve our goal conversion, i dont rate him otherwise. Davis a definite inclusion apparently had a blinder on teh weekend. our small defenders will have there work cut out for them

expect heath and harry to take aker and johnson and i expect a win from those 2 battles

p.s i would be tempted to bring in nicholls, quick great skills and great tackler (maybe even davies).
 
Holy shit it's amazing how many people, Collingwood supporters included, can't spell "Iles".

dont want to bring in an underdone medders when we already have Didak, and Holland who are still building up match fitness

Dick hasn't done enough, and Leon will give us much more

Wakelin misses out as the dogs are short people

Why do you think Iles is a dud? He has time to impress, at least he's getting a game. He was a pre season pick so just because he isnt' as good as Pendlebury or Thomas are atm doesn't mean he is a dud. Do you remember what Johnno and even Swan were like in their first 2 years? Swan was hardly getting a game. Johnson was getting a game because we were absolutely crap and was hardly inspiring at all.

I know the footy landscape has changed and if you do nothing for 2 years you will probably get the chop, but to call him a dud is putting him in the category of Kinnear, Walker, Hall, Shackleton, Nixon and Billy Morrison.

What I like to see is

In: Goldsack, Medhurst, Davis
Out: Wakelin (match-ups), Johnson (sadly, terribly out of form at the moment), Holland (needs a couple of games at Willy to find touch).

I tend to agree. I like the look of iles just needs more time to impress. As you said he is a 2nd yr player taken in the PSD so for him to be getting a game is a real bonus. Good luck to the kid, i think he can become something good for the club.

Also should not be dropped this week, 14 touches was a good effort for his first game of the year, there were worse offenders than him, however selection is beginning to become difficult by the week.

Yep I'll go along with this. I'm a big fan of Brad D but he's just dropping off abit and by all reports Leon had a blinder. I don't have anything against Wakes either as he's very reliable but keeping up the pace might be an issue and Goldsack seems to be ready by all reports. MM loves chucking challengers to newbies and what better way than lining up on Johnston and the team that humiliated last year in the finals. Harry on Darcy if he plays CHF or Presti on Darcy if he goes FF and Johnston goes anywhere else.

I think wakes and dick will be out and Goldsack and Davis will come in.
There is no match up for wakes and even with carltons tall forward line last week he still did not have a match up.
I would give isles another week. I am not convinced about him but after watching the replay the other night I have not written him off either. He will never be a star but he works hard, is reasonably strong and his skills are neat without being sensational. His skills are good enough that if he works hard he can make it. I have seen alot worse. The main thing he lacks is the confidence to back himself. At his age he is definately worth another crack.

It's true Johnston isn't in the outstanding form he was last year but I wouldn't say he's that out of form. Stats say the Carlton game seems very poor for what he is expected to do but he's working his guts out like he does every single match and he adds so much value to the side even to the point of being named captain last week.

Atm dropping Johnston IMO is absolutely crazy.
 
Is there any possibility that Goldsack has been brought in to play on Darcy? It seems odd, but Goldsack and Wakelin are the same height (191 cm), and Wakelin was being touted as a matchup for Darcy (197 cm). Could the plan be to run off Darcy?

Love the point about Nicholls. Very true.
 
Davis and Goldsack are nearly certaintiess it seems, and I'd assume that it will be for Dick and Wakelin.

But as someone else mentioned, I think a small quicky is a big chance to get a game. Maybe Nicholls or Davies, could have been Cook but doesn't seem likely.
Medhurst will come through Willy.

I would like to see:

IN: Davis, Goldy and Nicholls
OUT: Dick, Wakes and Iles/Holland (a week a Willy won't hurt, should have started him there but obviously wanted the grunt for Carlton IMO)
