Because some people asked for it in the DT thread, here's a screenshot of FanFooty's live drafting system for private leagues in action:

As you can see from the left hand side of the screenie, the order of draft picks follows the serpentine system, so that even rounds of picks reverse the order of odd rounds. This is fully explained on our draft tutorial page. There are five player types so the little box up the top is to remind you how many players you need for each position and how many are left over. The top right has the highest-ranked player for each position who has not been drafted yet. The player list is updated in real time, removing those who have been picked. You can choose to see players from only one position, or only one team, or only one position from one team. You can also click on the column headings to sort by different stats.

Our drafting system does not require that everyone is online at once, since we have not implemented automated picks as yet. However, league commissioners have found that it's good to get everyone on at a certain time to speed up the picking process, because it does tend to drag on a bit if you have stragglers. For next season we'll have a pre-draft personal ranking feature so you can rank your top 200-ish player choices for the commissioner to force picks on your behalf.

You can check out an example of our live private league scoring system with this game between the Dapto Doggies and the Driver Avenue Divots. Note the links to scoreboards of other games in the league on the right.

Hope that answers people's questions!

Sure can Benno. I'd recommend an 8-team league to start on AFL round 14, 7 games in the regular season so everyone plays everyone once, then two weeks of finals.

Our teams are made up of 9 players: two backs, three midfielders, three forwards, one ruck, one utility (B/M/F) and one defence... plus seven on the bench. The defence represents the overall defensive effort of a particular AFL team (i.e. how many goals they allow to be scored against them in a game) with extra scoring possible (in goal and tackle categories) by the full back of the AFL team.

Those who play NFL fantasy games would be familiar with some parts of the system. The full explanation is in our team tutorial.

I have set up a league if anyone is interested. The league name is bigfooty with the password being bigfooty as well, there are currently 7 spots up for grabs. The abbreviated name is bf
