Was a decent show back in its day, but wow it has aged poorly.
Who was your favorite chararter? Probably Phoebe or Chandler before he got with Monica.

I also love the storyline where Ross can't name all 50 states.

It was alright when they were still friends but went down hill when they all got tired of being friends and starting ****ing each other...

There were only two relationships
Rachel/Ross
Chandler/Monica
Plenty of flirting but that's all it amounted to.
Wasnt Joey and Rachel in a "sort of" relationship for a while.
Iirc, thats when the show completely and utterly went downhill, was a ridiculous storyline.
Why did it age so poorly? Was a mega hit back in the day. Part of it for mine has to do with the repetitive nature of the characters punchlines. Phoebe says random thing, Chandler makes sarcastic comment, Ross has a whinge. The character dimensions needed to change a bit while the show was on.
The lack of side characters also hurt the show too in the long run. No Soup Nazi, no Frank Costanzas, nothing but the 5 was too repetitive. Monica and Chandler bunking up also killed the show. It killed off the entire chances of ever introducing side characters and also killed off any changes you could make to the characters themself.
All the best episodes occured before they went all lovey dovey
Dont know why people say it aged poorly, it has probably aged better than most other sitcoms. Not sure people even know what "aged poorly" means because Friends definetly has not. I am guessing people who are saying that are people who didnt like it to start with anyway.
It also had plenty of side characters, they came and went but there were still plenty of them.
