I don't get it. You don't believe in Sportsgirl and Supre....why?? What did they ever do to you?

woo girls are starting to get a little catty...

I don't think its the face off pants that are ****ty...I think its the way that some of the teenies like to wear them that gets me a bit worried (ie bumster style with a whale-tail hanging out at the back...charming...) but that's not specific to face off pants...that's just pants in general!

In Perth, Roads was a shop that stocked a lot of Face Off gear from memory. Perth is also home to the original Supre warehouse, which used to be full of old ladies clothes and not young stuff!!! How the times change! Now its just gone young and tarty, Ashleigh on Big Brother appears to be the poster child for Supre clothing.

Supre does ahve some nice non trashing, but you have to look. I like these clothes because they fit me, I can go in and i dont spend ages looking for a nice pair of jeans that fit. More expensive brands I find really hard to find the right size. so yeah face off etc are just easier for me. Personally I'll look in any shop expensive or trashy, I don't limmit myself to not going into one shop.

OK, sorry, I took your "I'm not a brand snob" comment to refer to my post that I wouldn't buy certain brands, especially since you'd quoted bluecrow, whose comment was in reply to me.

I think I've explained enough why I won't buy Supre...skanky clothes, huge back home, all that stuff.

As for Sportsgirl - about three and a half years ago, my friend and I went shopping there. She was 16, and anorexic. She bought a top. You know what size it was? Large. How is an anorexic 16 year old a size L? I also don't like the way they market their image, as though there is a certain way girls have to be and think and act. Sure, all advertising is aimed at "wear this", but Sportsgirl's advertising, to me, is worse.

Well maybe she wasn't anorexic...we shouldn't exaggerate...also...you shouldn't really call supre clothes ****ty etc juz because they ' look' like that or whatever ya said! Maybe you should actually try them on

I'm usually a size smaller at sportsgirl than I normally am at say Myer or something... I would have thought it was the opposite to what you said?

And Supre, not all their clothes are skanky...I'm not sticking up for them either, I think I have been in there like once since Christmas? (But they're singlet tops are okay and cheap :D) I just think it's stupid to be 'morally' against a shop - it's not like Nike with sweatshops etc, it just seems silly to have a moral stand against a store to such an extent that if you see something nice there, you refuse to buy it.

I agree with Bluecrow's last post about how you can won't buy something that you like in that shop because you're strongly morally against the shop or something!!!

I promise you: I'm not exaggerating. I'm not using anorexic to mean thin. I mean it literally. As for Supre clothes, I have no need to try them on. I've seen everybody else wearing them, and not only do I have no desire to be just like everybody else, I don't think the clothes (most of them, then, I guess it would be unfair to say it's ALL skanky) look any good.

bluecrow, I hear their sizes have improved, but I have no desire to go back in there. I think I've been in to a Sportsgirl shop three or four times in the last three and a half years, and each time it was because a friend wanted to go in there. You don't have to agree with my moral standing, but no matter what their sizes, I don't want to shop at a place that markets the way they do. I don't like them, why should I give them the satisfaction of shopping there?

I like Sportsgirl. The only reason I dont shop in supre... is cos I hate girls and because most of the cloths in there (apart form my singlet) are too small.. their Small is a very tight 6 their M is a very tight 10 and there large is a tight 12... I fit into the Large, but I dont like VERY tight cloths. I like snug fitting cloths :)

I ain't tiny and I find Sportsgirl pretty good with their sizing. I generally easily fit into size M clothes there. Havent tried on something from Supre since I was about 10.:o

Well actually I was commenting on what she said, which was in reply to you but it doesn't mean that anyone else who replies is referring to you!

OK, but since what she was saying was a comment about me...I misinterpreted your post, and surely you can see how easily I did so...

Well in a way.......the part of the post I was referring to was bluecrow saying SHE shopped at any store regardless of brand if she liked the clothes and I was agreeing on that point so your misinterpretation was really YOUR fault not mine and it's possible to reply to posts directed at someone else without referring to them. Anyways this thread isn't all about you! :p

Back to the topic.......I was pretty upset yesterday, going into a shop and finding my favourite Face Off jeans on sale.......just plain blue ones........as I looked through the sizes it became apparent that they had no size 9 in stock. So just a note for anyone who works in a shop that may have Face Off jeans on sale at some point - PLEASE make sure you have some size 9's there, thank you. ;)
