The usual bull****, were better, no we are better.
Who gives a toss who wins really, as long as one of us gets a home final or two so we can stick it up the Vics.
I would prefer fremantle to win of course but If the eagles win then i aint gonna be bitter, we are both there and both a chance for top 4. After all we are West Aussies at heart

I see the derby as not who is better because both sides are very even, but more of a chance as who gets the best chance for that vital chance so we can show the other states,especially the arrogant VICs that we are a genuine footy state and that the world does not revolve around the bloody VICS. In recent times the three best states have been VIC,SA and WA. Lets try and make the pecking order different. Go Western Australia!

If there are two games a year i hate it is the derbies because both WA teams play, either way i don't really like either team losing even though i am a slight more fremantle supporter than an eagle. But i love both teams with a passion so watching the game for me is hard.
I just get sick of both freo and west coast supporters saying crap and downgrading each others side. They are both West Aussie teams and as long as we beat the VICS and those arrogant south aussies i am happy
I find it hard for other west aussies to say "I dont like the eagles or freo cos they suck" what sort of crap is that. At least one of us gets a crack at it

Exactly, I can't understand how a minority of Western Australian footy supporters manage to support both teams. It's a national competition we're in and personally, the team I'll always love defeating the most is the local rival (about 95% of Freo supporters would agree).
Do Manchester City supporters go for Manchester United supporters just to keep the Cup in Manchester? Not a hope in hell.
Do New York Mets supporters go for the New York Yankees just to keep the Cup in New York? Not a hope in hell.
I'm not sure what it is, but some Australians seem to think state pride is more important than club pride. The only time Freo and WC supporters will combine to support the one team is when/if State of Origin is brought back to the AFL. Otherwise, I couldn't care less about the West Coast Eagles (and would rather them down the bottom than up the top
).

Actually, after the Eagles very average performance against a carp Demons team and the preceding 5 weeks, I'm not sure winding up Dockers fans about the Essendon game is all that wise.

By your reasoning we should all head on down to Canning Vale and cheer on the Burnies. Or perhaps go over to the Court household and cheer on Richard Court because there west aussies.
