As much as I am looking forward to this game, it looks like you will again get too much stuff early on. My favourite part of the fallout games is scrounging and trying to survive on basically **** all.

Out of curiosity, what's the longest single playthrough people had on FO3? I have 85 hours (GOTY edition with DLCs) and I'm confident I've done pretty much everything (bar finding all the bobbleheads)

100+, over 160 hours on Skyrim.

I tried playing fo3 goty on the hardest difficulty, and at murder pass, was confronted by a hell of a challenge, actually i think i had 3000+bullets abd other goodies but it wasn't enough.

New Vegas never got the love from me it deserved because I found it way too easy even though I always played on the Hardcore Mode. I still remember on Fallout 3 (once outside the vault), the most enjoyment I got from the game was the initial few hours of my first play through when I had next to nothing.

Did u play lone wolf?
I played on very hard+hardcore lone wolf....that's rarely easy

Geez, that's a lot more than me. I only played it through once and didn't even bother with some of the DLC. There's only so many crashes and GFWL issues a man can take.

I played Fallout 2 a lot more than that - completed it at least four times back in the day, and again a few years ago with the Restoration Pack.

I started New Vegas a couple of weeks ago (having bought it in 2012; damn backlog...).

Much as I love the scope of it, that is constantly undermined by the glitchy, pop-in laden graphics, the awful map (Freeside is a nightmare to navigate, especially when the marker sends me on an endless loop back and forth through the same door) and some really badly written quests (how many secret conspiracies will be revealed by simply finding a document which sets out the details of said conspiracies?).

Apparently the DLC picks things up a bit, so I'll see how long my patience holds out...

That's one of the bloody quests I'm stuck on thanks to the useless markers!

I've got the holotape but haven't found Cerulean Robotics yet. I think I'll just follow a walkthrough to get there.

Edit: Done. Okay, that was pretty funny.

I had tons of hours of fun avoiding entering Vegas. Thought when I finally went inside it was going to be awesome but it's all pretty sucky. Still a great game though.

New Vegas was the first FO I played so I had no idea what I was doing at first. Never saw Elvis and never recruited an animal companion. I'll have to have a proper play through some time soon.

I wonder if that's because the big twist ending that you were an Android all along was worked out when the said you emerge hundreds of years after you entered the vault and the links with Fallout 3 Android quests etc.
