Club Legend
Well so I backed the Blue Boys in and ultimately they were not able to get over the line.
I made a promise that if they did not win 5 in a row I would disappear off the board until the end of our season and that is what I will be doing. Yes it will kill me as I love posting on this board and the banter that follows. Whilst it may not always come across this way I have an absolute love for footy and for the Carlton Football Club. I was born into the Navy Blues and from the age of 5 years old I was going to the footy on a weekly basis. About 10 years ago I realised that footy ruled my life. My whole life was arranged around the matches and it was at this point I realised I needed to make some adjustments. I now live a life where the footy has to fit in around the rest of my life and for me that is the best fit.
I realise there are some passionate Carlton people on this board that live and die by every result, I guess I see my role here is to provide some light relief as I know that is what gets me through the dark times. To those that this annoys I apologise if it comes across as not caring, I care just as much but nowadays just try not to show it.
So in singing off for the next 4 months I say this. Thanks for the friendships, the laughs and the debates. Keep it real and support the club with all you have no matter what the results. As supporters we unfortunately have no way of controlling the results on the field and I encourage everyone to not sweat the small stuff. They are our team and no matter what always will be. I hope the boys make us all proud this season and they still have every chance to give us something to smile about this year.
I will be reading the threads and posts with interest throughout the year so make them good and for **** sake make me laugh!
Go Blues!!

Seriously?
You preach about caring so much about the club, but you're acting like that type of soldier that runs the other way as soon as the shooting starts.
You should be digging in right now, not hiding.
Tisk tisk.
