Loved the scene where Dodd's son goes into the butchers to kill them and ends up buying meat :D

You would have to be a pretty hard man to kill that girl. She even loves Camus! :hearts:

That episode was awesome! The whole Ronald Reagan thing was hilarious
Reagan: "Son there's not a challenge on God's Earth that can not be overcome by an American and I truly believe that"
Lou: "Yeah...but how?"
Reagan: ... *walks away*
:D

What was the significance of having the shootout scene coincide with the Reagan speech?

I was wondering what happened to Brad Garrett's character after he came face to face with the Indian.

That was Bear's son, wasn't it?

When Reagan couldn't remember how the movie he was in played out I lost my shit but then they followed up with that when Lou is so desperate to know, hilarious but kind of really sad all at once, just brilliant telle.

& what was with all the magazines in Ed & Peggy's basement? A nice fire hazard if ever Ive seen one, which I thought interesting given what just happened to the butcher shop. Peggy packed a few mags when getting ready to lamb it, her favourite ones? She's a weird one our Peggy & her old man is now officially the Butcher of Luverne, which is a very cool name;) & then weve got the constant UFO references along with everything else going on, hard to keep up!

I'm guessing the Kansas crew were sneaking in thinking everyone would be distracted with Reagan in town.Didn't work.

The themes of difficult times, unclear futures and great personal challenges also connected in.
yeah, Reagan coming in marked the climax and then resolution of the Cold War between the two world superpowers.

Garrets and Kansas Crew are the two superpowers going to war.

Pretty sure communism not being able to work once the investment boom finished in the 70s was the climax of the Cold War. Had nothing to do with American leaders or America in general. Russia simply ran out of money and wasn't able to function.

Wasn't sure it was going to live up to the first season. Boy oh boy is this season outstanding too. Really wish True Detective could have done the same thing :(

The Kitchen brothers seem a bit of a rip off of the Salamca brothers from Breaking Bad,who also never spoke

I would say there is quite a bit of BB crossover. Like you say the crazy, mute brothers. But also the crippled ex-crime bosses Hector Salamako and Otto Gerhardt.
