Fascism - What is the likelihood of it really taking hold in Australia?

Most people in here have little to no idea what Fascism actually is. These days it gets thrown around willy nilly.

If anything, fascism is more likely to come from the left, than the right.

The generally accepted definition of fascism is that it is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist ideology whose proponents are fundamentally opposed to both left-wing ideologies like communism and socialism, and centrist ideologies like liberalism and democracy.
