This guy has serious swag. Love him.

Just wish they allowed him to celebrate like he wants to. Really gets the crowd going.

I don't really get the comparison, but I do like him.

Fasolo doesn't have anywhere near Ablett's core strength and tackle breaking ability.

Noticed it in small spirts last week, but this week he did it better and more times! Fast becoming one of my favourite players in this side, tries his hardest all the time.

Always said he will be a gun midfielder.

People forget the ONLY reason he was left to 45 was arrogance and attitude.

If he knuckles down, works hard and curbs the attitude and selfishness, he will be the best player at Collingwood in a few years.

Massive call, and i'd bet huge sums that he won't! That's more to do that he'd have to go past Sidey, Beams, Pendles, etc... I love the guy and reckon he will be a gun though.

He's certainly a different player the last 2 months or so.
I think the Dees match was when his attitude changed rather than looking to kick the goal himself he started to look for better option,I think he will prove in the future that we did indeed get a good one at 45.

He is another very good reason to be very confidant about our future and especially the midfield.

Fasolo was impressive. He is relatively inexperienced yet can really impacrt a contest with his hardness. He is not quick but he can be really effective. He looked like he was running with Kennedy at times during the match, maybe to match his physical presence. He has come a long way for a recent 45 pick. He really stood up tonight.

Anybody else catching this? The way he breaks a pack and runs with the head down speedy gonzales style is simply beautiful. Going to be unreal in a couple years!

Yes, I was trying to pin point who that above description reminded me of ... and Ablett it is...

Love the Fas. Will take over from Didak as my fav when Dids retires...

The guys you mention would be great mentors for a young up and comer, add in Swan (to keep them grounded), Ball (experience with adversity) and Buckley (to add some God like advice) and we have a great training team for our youngsters.

Agree with OP. does move alot like Ablett and don't think the OP necessarily thinks he'll turn out like Ablett.

Progressing beautifully, lots of hard footy and looks more and more unselfish every week.

Amazing to think he is 19 y.o.

His overhead marking for his size is what impresses me. Such a good kick on him and as the OP says, the breakaway from a pack could elevate him to an A grade midfielder in a few years time. Second on our goal kicking too. Great get at 45 and I am an unabashed fan of Fas.

tl:dr - Fresh.

Some serious overrating this bloke IMO. I don't see where the confidence is that he will manage to be even a half decent midfielder. I haven't really seen much that makes me think he'll be great there. He's a good mark and a good kick. I think his attributes are always going to be suited to playing forward, and that's likely where he will play long and short term. Something of a poor man's Paul Chapman, who's the one player he's actually modelled his game on. He has the skill and ability overhead of Chapman, but nowhere near the strength and ability to stand up under contact/tackles.
